Listen mate, you were the one who asked me 'do you know anything about football?' on a footballing forum, so don't expect hugs and kisses as a response. Anyway, we were first discussing Moyes stance of 'he's not for sale' and that Rooney needs to hand in a transfer request. You said that the way Moyes was carrying on was a disgrace and that Rooney had already handed in a transfer request. I said Moyes is acting the way he is to test Rooney's resolve to stay at the club or the get the most out of him if he wants to leave. Which makes it spot on behaviour to be honest. I also said that this would force him to hand in a transfer request to which would forfeit any bonus he may receive. Now both of my views, as opposed to yours, were confirmed the very next day: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8827602/Transfer-news-Chelsea-have-a-bid-for-Wayne-Rooney-turned-down http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jul/17/wayne-rooney-manchester-united-transfer-request So if anyone was talking out of their arse, it's you. Therefore I'd rather not read your posts anymore. Now go put me on ignore and i'll happily do the same.

It'd be nice to see something like a Hazard-KDB-Mata combination then. As KDB seems to have next to no weak foot, those three rotating around would be fucking insane! It also means KDB could just switch wings with whoever and whip in one of those magical crosses of his.
-
I know what the fucking word means. Do you not understand we have an overload of attacking mids?! So who gives a shit if he can play as CAM? Mata can play there and he doesn't need to play as striker, why? Because he's so fucking good at being a midfielder! For me, that's impressive enough. And he's ten times better than Rooney at it; as will Oscar/KDB become a better than Rooney there but that's as long as some fat, injury-prone, aging, jack of all trades, master of none, tit isn't taking up their game time simply because he's 'versatile'. Those players can master those positions for the next 10+yrs for us, but only if they're allowed to. They won't sit on the bench forever. So sorry if I'm not wanking over Rooney just because he's English and can play more than one position.
-
I don't get this 'versatility' crap people are so in love with in Rooney. We have an abundance of young attacking-mids, I don't know why Rooney being able to play there is so god damn attractive. I also don't want a 'jack of all trades' I want a proper out-and-out striker. I'd rather we signed Hernandez for £25m and that's being perfectly honest. Also think about the day that's in it...the day that United bid for Fibreglass. So screw RVP playing off Rooney, imagine RVP playing off the man he spent 7 years with?!
-
Well they still want to sell him for a decent price don't they? That's why Moyes will say "he's not for sale" to any suitors but tell Rooney "you're RVP's back-up". He's trying to portray the club as wanting to keep Rooney so they can get the maximum tranfer fee from any club. At the same time, Rooney is RVP's back-up and he's telling Rooney the truth so he could have no complaints during next season but also testing Rooney's resolve to stay at the club. If he's truly committed to the cause and loves the club, he'll gladly stay otherwise he's forcing Rooney's hand to leave... Making Rooney hand in a transfer request also eliminates any loyalty bonus he may receive.
-
A battle? Well it's obvious that if they really cared, Moyes wouldn't have said what he did. It seemed like a gentle push out the door in my eyes and that should say something...

I don't know where this attitude is when it comes to Terry. The amount of off-the-field and on-the-field bullshit he's done to soil the crest; affairs, bribes, assaults and racist abuse (he did abuse Ferdinand, anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot or has the bluest pair of glasses on) and people still praise him like a god. And just because JT got a lesser ban for racist abuse doesn't make it any less wrong. Maybe just below Suarez on offences, but JT's list is fairly long. So no one can say Suarez is scum and turn around and say "well JT isn't that bad" and praise his as Mr. Chelsea or make excuses for him. It's a two-way street. My point is: If he came here and started putting the ball in the net regularly, a lot of people would change their views and focus on him as a footballer first or, at the very least, become more neutral towards him. The same way a lot of people like to explain away/ignore the bullshit that JT does.
-
To be honest, I would take him. As unpopular as that might be, with Cavani gone and no other top striker available (don't even mention Rooney to me), I'd take him in a second. And if he started banging them in on a weekly basis for us, I'd imagine a lot on here would change their tune pretty quickly. Football fans are a fickle bunch; we are no different. Sure everyone hated Drogba, except us. He play-acted and dived, but to us he was a god. And as much as I hate the scouse, they aren't really rivals anymore, just an annoyance. There's a rivalry, but they pose no real threat and they aren't a London team. Mourinho also isn't Acellotti, who bought two of the worst signings ever from that shithole. Think about it: A quick-dribbling striker who managed to get 30 goals last season in a shit Liverpool team with Mata, Oscar, Hazard, KDB etc. behind him, and maybe even combined with Lukaku, playing counter attacking football? My word...

One of the most ridiculous posts I've ever seen on these forums in all honesty! Either that, or it's quite the joke! Seems like you're just jumping on the "he hasn't done it in the PL/against English teams" bandwagon for the sake of it. Your English/PL bias is pretty blatant when you praise Rooney in the same sentence. I highly doubt you've ever actually analysed how Ibra plays...
-
Great! So that's definitely not true then!
-
I waited out the back of the bridge once for the off-chance I might get one of the lads signatures. The only one that stopped was Hilario...I walked away.
-
I wasn't drawing comparrisons to Torres, only how people view the players. No one can ever flop as hard as Torres. Yeah sure, he'll be able to do a job - every now and then. Not just because of possible injuries, but because he's the most inconsistent striker in the league. (Torres doesn't count!) And the fact is, he is just not the same player from 3, even 2, years ago. He's just not. I've listed my reasons why I don't want him here, I'm not doing it again. Look at my original posts in May 9th for that!
-
Well, I suppose we'll just have to wait until the season starts to find out what level he's really at!
-
1. Oh the irony. 2. Step into the position we currently have an overflow of players for. Rooney currently has a 'niggling' injury which usually translates to a long-term problem - while Mata, Oscar and Hazard hardly missed a game all last season. People have been on here for weeks saying that his fitness is a problem and now he is injured before pre-season; I don't think it's a coincidence. I think it should say something and I don't think it should be dismissed simply because of stuff he has done in the past. In the more recent past he missed most of the season and still wasn't fit by the end of it. And if it truly 'wasn't a big deal' I'm sure he wouldn't have to fly all the way back to Manchester, no? I don't want the club to risk being stuck with one of, if not the, highest earning player in the PL who lives in the treatment room...I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything, just realistic. This is the last i'll say on Rooney: I think some people are having the 'Torres' mindset again. I mean this in terms of simply focusing on the big name of the player and his past glories, instead of the player he is now.
-
Oh look, fat boy is injured before even kicking a ball...I for one am shocked! Shocked I say!
-
Bit late responding now, but I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you! (My daughter is actually getting Christened on Sunday and things have been hectic!) Anyway, where I was coming from on the whole Cavani thing was that if we were actually in for him (which I'm not even sure we were to be honest) any self-respecting player these days would be be pushing for a move to the PL, even if they were offering a few million less than the transfer fee. But I suppose Ligue 1 is becoming more attractive. It'll turn more into La Liga next season though; two-horsed race and all that. But I still think it's nothing compared to the PL, call me biased! I do agree though. Because either way, competition for him or not, PSG would have have to pay such a price and Napoli would then have to sell.
-
But a player surely has a say on where they go? ADL can hardly say: "right, they met your release clause, off you go son!". I'm sure it only allows PSG to speak to Cavani, if he doesn't agree personal terms or doesn't want to play in a shit league he can tell PSG where to go. That's why I think he's a bit of a hypocrite, he always said he'd leave for a bigger club, well I don't think PSG are any bigger than Napoli right now... Anyway, I digress. De Rossi!
-
He could give 2-3yrs max (as a starter). It'd be perfect timing all around because we can only hope Chalobah/Aké/RLC are ready to take over by that time.
-
Why thank you! That's always nice!
-
He's either seen Eva and been told that she's in charge of 'rub downs' or he's just seen Branna's arse! I'll let you guys decide which!
-
Indeed. I don't know much about him myself, but if he's confident and comfortable on the ball (which it sounds like he is) I can't see him being too far off the mark as being a decent squad player for us in his first year. It might be better if people think of it this way, Moses, Marin and Yossi or Schurrle, KDB, Moses, Van Ginkel? However, if he does really want a world cup spot, it'd be best if he went on loan to somewhere like Werder Bremen.

From AS.com eh? More like BS.com! Am I right? ...is this thing on?

Don't....just don't
