  1. Australian reporter is pranked while talking about Chelsea's EL win over Benfica http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wqvZ01B0_EM#!
  2. Did you see the troll who got a ultra-super-fast-mega-bale ban on page 7? Muahahaha
  3. Gotta say, I didn't expect that! But, hey ANOTHER TROPHY!!! :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  4. So why have people been rating Matic exactly? For his ability to get away with absolute murder in the middle of the pitch? I don't get it...
  5. Has anyone counted the free kicks? 'The final of fouls, dives and free-kicks' - thrilling stuff.
  6. Haha, Jesus! That is hilarious! Welcome to the Europa League boys!
  7. Knew it. Boys don't look up for this. No closing down, no getting to the loose ball, easily passing it around outside the box. If Benfica were any good, they would've already scored already. We're just short of kicking it in the net for them.
  8. That's it, measure him up against Messi and Barcelona. And all of those goals were because of him then? All 5 goals? So far you've only mentioned one game against one of the best teams ever constructed...your argument seems to be getting weaker the more you speak. Essien has shown he sufficient enough for La Liga and I'd say he would be sufficient enough as a DM for us. Though probably against teams out of the top 6 or so. However, his wages are a different matter altogether; he's probably on quite a bit, but I'm not sure. He can definitely contribute as a DM though. As slow as he has become, he's certainly more mobile than Mikel. He won't be a starter though as we'll end up buying a new DM/DLP in the summer for sure.
  9. No, he was played consistently only in his first year only. Does 13 games sound like half a year to you? There was also a reason he was played in his first year: he played well. Aside from making a mistake here or there, he played exceptionally well for someone his age. You seem to be making it out as if Pepe and Ramos are Beckenbauer in comparison?! The red card specialists?! Really? They too are prone to brain farts just as much as any La Liga defender, but at least if Ricky made a mistake, it was mainly due to his failing body. In the second season he didn't play well, so he was dropped. Besides, what is La Liga know for? Defending? I don't think so. When you have one of the top two teams in the league with Ronaldo, Benzema, Ozil etc. You can pretty much forget about the defence. Barca do it all the time. The fact that you're basing your argument on one player, one time (and who actually played well), in a completely different team, in a completely different league with a different ethos just shows how laughable your argument is. Mourinho is a winner above anything else. I don't see him ever jeopardising that over sentimentality.
  10. Mate, you've already said this in the Essien thread. It's like you're just saying it for reactions. Mourinho isn't stupid. He wants to win above anything else. He knows when a player has had it. Just look at the Pepe/Varane situation at the moment.
  11. Gotta laugh From @usasoccerguy (pisstake): "Soccer fans of the Chelsea Franchise Club have been making their way to Amsterdam this week for their Minor Eurosoccer Cup final tie with Portugaleze franchise Ben Fica. In a week of real crazy soccer drama, talk of the Blue Lions’ tie has been minimized. First there was the shock news that Coach Sir Alexi Ferguson would be retirizing, and then the Wigan Warriors went and took the England Soccer Cup back to the DW40 soccer stadium..." http://news.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/football/europa-league/coach-beneathez-can-guide-blue-lions-to-minor-eurosoccer-cup-glory_154619.html
  12. Great, so my second guess was right. Thanks for that!
  13. Exactly mate! I'm pretty sure it was clear to everyone that Hazard's season was over, but he still brought him for the extremely vague hope that he would be fit...smacks of desperation! Either that or Hazard is there for the LOLs.
  14. If I'm totally honest, I don't see us winning. Even with Hazard or our full team or whatever, I just see it as a game similar to the Super Cup; as in, one side cares a lot more about the trophy than we do.
  15. Yep. Txiki Bergiristain is one for sure. Some said that he was the one that interviewed Mourinho for the Barca job and turned him down, that part is just a massive rumor though. Anyone associated with Barca doesn't like him, that's for sure.
  16. There's no real rumors? (not up to date much, in library most of the time so I use TC as a newsfeed) Then why the hell are some people here freaking out?!?
  17. Mourinho to City rumors are just more media bullshit as far as I can see. José's name will be thrown around at any opportunity to add spice to the most mundane stories. For example, the Fergie/Moyes story would've been the most boring manigerial story without José's name being thrown into the pot and they know it. Same goes here. I can see him coming here and both sides of Manchester will cry inside. Not to portray José as bigger than the club or anything. I can still see us winning tropihes next year regardless. All we need are the right buys in the summer.
  18. Selling KDB to Dortmund for money only would be the stupidest thing since buying Torres.
  19. First off, it was Chelsea "aren't creative enough" or "too slow". So we got a billion attacking midfielders and stuck them in behind him and said, "there you go, mr. blame someone else for your own problems, have at it". Guess what? He failed. Not only did he fail, but he looked like the most miserable sulky shit while doing it. That is the most annoying thing. Now people are just resorting to "He's just not made for us" or "he's just used to counter-attacking teams". Jesus, talk about being desperate fanboys. Tell me then, how the hell can he be good in a counter-attacking team when he can't even beat Vincent Kompany in a straight foot race? Torres is the biggest flop in world football because the money we paid was for a footballer who no longer exists. His legs are gone and he can't adapt his game. Personally, I can't wait for José to come so I can see the back of that ladyboys head. Oh, and some might say I'm being a bit harsh, but I would be nicer about it if I saw that he actually gave a shit while he was here.
  20. My enduring memory of Mancini will only be: "This is a football."
  21. I can't but i'll tell you of an 18 year old....CHALOBAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
  22. Coming from a team who was also in the CL last year and failed to qualify ahead of Celtic this year...they're one to talk! What an idiot!
  23. If Mourinho comes, I think we can finally kiss the ladyboy goodbye! Can you imagine him putting up with his sulky shit on the pitch? Me neither.
