  1. He wasn't good enough for Real Madrid. He looks good this season because he's playing for a mid-table side without any expectations. We should be aiming to sign better players than Illaramendi.
  2. I agree with your point of view. I was trying to say that once a player becomes frustrated at lack of opportunity, it's hard to convince them to stay The manager should have handled the situation better through a proper rotation policy but he chose his favourites, and now we have no quality depth within the first-team squad
  3. It's not about being worse than our current players. if the player doesn't want to stay, what can you do?
  4. A few years ago, we had multiple leaders/international captains in the same team...now all we have is JT Bunch of soldiers? We only have two soldiers playing consistently well! (Azpi & Willian)
  5. I have to agree with the simplification. It's not like Mourinho has final say on transfers out of the club. Also in reference to the examples used by Zolayes...KDB wanted to be a first-team player so he left, same with Bertrand, same with Lukaku. I just wish we would sign quality players from within the EPL...rather than spending 25+ million on guys like Cuadrado, Pedro..
  6. Makes sense. After Stoke we have a 14-day break until next match.
  7. I think Guardiola will just stay at Bayern until Wenger retires or Pellegrini is sacked by City
  8. Can't disagree with number 2 and 3 on that list. Liverpool kept pressing throughout the match, forced our midfield into mistakes and took full advantage of those mistakes by scoring three goals.
  9. He'll never learn. Maybe the FA should give Costa mandatory counselling instead of a 4-match ban
  10. I miss seeing the likes of Cech, Essien, Lampard and Drogba on the pitch together. I always felt 'safe' knowing that we had a few players with a strong mentality and will to win games. Now when I see the players on the pitch, I don't see that strong mentality in anyone (except Willian, Ramires and Azpi). We have too many laid-back personalities (Hazard, Oscar, Fabregas) in the dressing room.
  11. If Fabregas -- Ramires play in midfield without a DM, we won't win the game against Kiev
  12. Completely agree. A strong decision has to be made. Either keep him for the rest of the season, back him in the January window OR let him go now.
  13. More excuses for Mourinho. You make do with the squad you have at your disposal...and let's be honest, this squad is good enough to be A) playing decent attacking football and B ) higher than 15th on the table after 11 games
  14. All the fans that care about the future of the club want Jose out :blue scalf:
  15. He's playing shit because of Jose's tactics and approach to the game. Put Hazard in an attacking setup like City or Liverpool and watch him thrive Even the world's best player (Messi) would look sub-par under Mourinho.
  16. Our attacking went downhill in the 2nd half of last season..where it was less about team play and more about getting the ball to Hazard. This season we have regressed EVEN FURTHER..which makes no sense. I honestly think Mourinho has lost the dressing room as surely the players can't be happy playing this style of football and getting abused by the opposition at Stamford Bridge..
  17. He's a trophy specialist who knows NOTHING about long-term management. I bet you the board will keep him as manager because they don't want to pay the 30 million.
  18. Pathetic, we look like the away team. You know your attack is rubbish when you can only manage 1 shot on goal in your home ground
  19. Oscar has been pretty poor today, Milner and Clyne got past him with ease.
  20. more concerned about a tired terry & cahill backing off vs benteke off the bench You just know Benteke will score against us
  21. He's saying all the right things, I just hope the players can back him up and get a vital win against the Scousers :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  22. Fair enough if you have misgivings but Willian, Douglas Costa and Fernandinho are doing fairly well for their clubs this season.
  23. If Teixeira can play behind the striker, get him. We could definitely benefit from another goal-scoring threat
