Spurs were absolutely awful. AvB should really be questioned on the players he signed with the Bale money..
-
Even if KDB is sold, we're going to have a strong group of attacking midfielders.
-
Whats the point of signing Falcao? We need to fix the midfield before signing a striker...
-
It all depends on our midfield and the team's intensity throughout the game. Expecting a 2-1 win for either side

The media attention came from the fact that United had a rubbish midfield yet Fergie was unwilling to take a chance on Pogba. Pogba had plenty of talent, I remember Scholes saying in an interview for MUTV (in relation to Pogba): You can't teach flair, technique & determination. As for the Lewis Baker comment...comeon, let's be serious, that was an unfair comparison..in Baker's case, he'll probably end up playing Championship/League 1 football.

Romeu's potential was exaggerated because he came from Barcelona's famed academy. After reading multiple Spanish reports on Romeu..it's obvious that Barcelona sold him hoping that he would be able to refine his skill set at Chelsea, then they could buy him back in 2 seasons time and make him a squad player. As for our own academy, in terms of development and age, I think one of Aké, Chalobah or Loftus-Cheek will make it at Chelsea.

Your personality type: "Good-natured Realist" Quiet, kind and conscientious. Can be depended on to follow through. Usually puts the needs of others above their own needs. Stable and practical, they value security and traditions. Well-developed sense of space and function. Rich inner world of observations about people. Extremely perceptive of other’s feelings. Interested in serving others. This test seems accurate.

He wouldn't really upgrade our midfield options...we still need someone capable of pulling the strings from deep.

Yeh let's just go ahead and sell our best CM. The fact that he's being forced to play as a holding midfielder due to Lampard's rubbish performances in a deeper role has nothing to do with his performance, yea?
-
In terms of our rivals in the PL, City don't need an AM, Moyes wouldn't know how to use KdB properly & Arsenal don't really need an AM. I think if KdB was sold, he'd end up in Germany.
-
It's not like Robbie will be handed the managerial role at a top club...he's still an average manager with an okay record. He's going to end up managing a mid-table side. As for your comparison with Scolari and Ancelotti (in previous posts)...unlike Robbie, they were going to get top level jobs at club/international level at some point in time due to their reputation.
-
Definitely shouldn't be starting for England. If Cole was in form, he'd be starting without a doubt...but he is ageing and I guess it's time to give Baines/Shaw/Gibbs the opportunity.
-
Cech has been inconsistent this season...just looks more vulnerable than usual. Hopefully Courtois is brought back to challenge Cech...
-
Trying too much to impress...sounds like Sturridge's situation whilst he was a Chelsea player. At the end of the day, KdB has to show that he's better than Hazard or Willian or Schurrle to play at Chelsea...and based on his performances this season, he's not on that level yet. KdB played well at Bremen..but we have to remember that he didn't really have competition for his spot in the starting XI.

Could of kept Meireles as squad player?
-
Ronaldo 1 - Zlatan 0
-
Will be good to see Lukaku back at Chelsea at the start of next season.
-
If Pogba is available at the right price, we should sign him. However...I doubt Juve would let go of a massive asset on the cheap
-
Poor first half from both Portugal and Sweden.
-
Let's see how Bosnia perform against real opposition before considering them as dark horses for the World cup.
-
Actually from what I heard, AvB was willing to go back to Portugal to keep his mind in the game. He is an eager learner, wants to do his best and loves the game of football. AvB was going to get a job sooner rather than later..considering the recent trend towards younger managers.
-
Completely agree..if Robbie was an aspiring, enthuasiastic manager, he would have taken a job at a mid-table club by now. Sure, he'd be dealing with stress and a tight wage/transfer budget...but if you truly love the game of football, you wouldn't sit around and wait for the perfect job offer.

I'm surprised Di Matteo is still not the manager of another club.
-
Feel bad for KDB, he seems to have all the tools required to become a classy midfielder. Unfortunately, his chances at Chelsea will be limited for the forseeable future (unless one of our AM's gets injured). I don't want KDB to be sold..but out of our current AM's, he's the most likely to go.
