Could you provide examples of homegrown squad players capable of contributing to Jose's tactics? All I see is players of similar quality to Bertrand and Moses....as in: solid players for lower-EPL teams

Unless the coach takes a gamble...all this talk of promising youngsters means nothing If one of: Chalobah/Baker/Aké are part of the first team next season...then there's hope for the likes of Aina, DaSilva

England still lack a quality defensive midfielder...if only Rodwell's career wasn't ruined by injury, he would of been a solid addition to the likes of Wilshere, Gerrard & Henderson

Your previous suggestion about Lampard staying as a player-coach is a good option. He's still one of our leaders from midfield and with his level of experience, he could probably pass on useful advice to the likes of Van Ginkel, Chalobah (if he's part of the first team) throughout next season

Chelsea don't need to decide...just sign Costa and worry about fixing our midfield issues Mandzukic is nothing special.

The best combination would be Costa and someone like Firmino (good eye for goal, solid playmaking skills, can play as striker or #10 depending on situation) As for Lukaku, he should come back after the World Cup ready to fight for a place at Chelsea....simple as that

If Luiz is deadwood.....then I wonder what Mikel and Torres would be considered to be? He's a defender that doesn't suit Jose's tactical system...you put him on a team with freedom (e.g. Barca) and he will thrive.

Next season's potential squad (*assuming Costa deal is all but done): Cech, Courtois Ivan, Azpi, Terry, Cahill, Kalas/Zouma, new LB Matic, Ramires, MvG, Lampard, new CM to replace Mikel? Schurrle, Hazard, Oscar, Salah, Willian Costa*, Lukaku/new second striker

Cahill wasn't unknown....most of the clubs thought he was average.
