Most of the people want him cause he'd be a homegrown squad player. (assuming Moses and Bertrand are gone in the summer...we need replacements)

There will always be bias in the refs....but when your strikers are pathetic and your midfield can't create good chances against teams that park the bus....you'll be lucky to win the title. Liverpool might be the media darlings but who cares about that... Rodgers put faith in attacking football and it has paid off. Suarez and Sturridge have 50 goals between them and Sterling looks like a top prospect...

Wouldn't mind Welbeck as Ba's replacement Homegrown, has pace, has the physical attributes to do well in the PL, just needs a breakout season

Rodgers faith in youth is something to admire. The likes of Flanagan & Sterling would probably be sitting on the bench if they were at Chelsea...

He needs to go at the end of the season Van Ginkel and/or Chalobah can take his place on the bench

The biggest problem is creativity from center-midfield. Lampard isn't getting any younger, Ramires looks lost on the pitch half the time and Oscar is still maturing. We don't have that mature 25-28 year old creative midfielder anymore...Mata was that player but for whatever reasons, he just didn't fit Jose's system

The title won't go to City... If Liverpool win 3 out of 4 remaining games, they will have 86 points City have to win all 5 games to get 86 points...and from what i've seen, they're going to drop points in at least one of their remaining fixtures.

We just handed the title to Liverpool...they can even afford to lose against us at Anfield The wankfest over Gerrard will be too much to handle... If only we could have beaten Crystal Palace and Sunderland...

Based on what? One guy has scored 100 goals in 3 seasons as the main man...then he moves to France, becomes second fiddle to Ibra and loses momentum, confidence in his game The other guy has done nothing in his career up until this great season

Costa is the only 'viable' option...unless we are willing to spend 55+ million on Cavani (who is by far the better player)

Have you seen him play? He's not unstoppable...he's just having a very good season. Unstoppable would be someone like Suarez or Aguero (when fully fit) or C.Ronaldo

30 goals a season? Costa might have 30 goals in the Spanish league...but I will guarantee, he will struggle to score more than 25 goals in the EPL next season. Costa is NOT a world-class striker, he's a good striker having a top-class season.

Torres is finished as a player...he'd be lucky to score 10+ league goals in any system

The question is: Is Costa individually that good? or is Atletico's system giving him the service to capitalise and score 25+ goals in the league this season?

You can't compare Costa to Drogba. Drogba was an elite striker....Costa is good but nowhere near great. Top-class strikers: Cavani, Ibra, Lewa, Suarez Solid strikers: Costa, Martinez, Benzema, Dzeko.. Good second options: BONY

We do lack an elite CM capable of pulling the strings in midfield.....Van Ginkel isn't the answer to our problems. If Lamps and Mikel both leave...I highly doubt Jose will go into next season with Matic, Ramires, MvG and Chalobah/Baker/insert-name as his only midfield options...

To be fair, for 30 million...we could arguably have the best right-back and left-back in the league...with a season or two of Mourinho coaching! I still think £20 million + Bertrand is a fair deal for Shaw....30 million is a bit steep.
