Comparing anyone to Frank is a bit harsh. If all the youngsters had Frank's level of work ethic in the training ground, we wouldn't need to spend so much cash...
-
Wasn't Mido one of the first Egyptian's to play at a relatively big EPL club (Tottenham) back in 2005/2006?
-
He's died down more than a bit.... He's not even half the player he was before January. I would put him next to Ramires in the below-par category in terms of recent performances
-
How is Mandzukic part of that list? He's not that great. Also, regarding Lukaku wanting a loan...can you blame him? He knew if Chelsea signed an experienced striker (e.g Eto'o), he would fall down the pecking order to third choice whilst the Spanish flop got chance after chance after chance to prove himself... The kid is 20, has said multiple times his dream is to play for Chelsea, he's built like a bull, seems to know how to score goals....what more could you want from a young striker?
-
The question remains...why is his Chelsea career over? Unless he had a bust up with Mourinho in the training ground, something doesn't add up... He's 20 years old...would be a perfect impact striker off the bench....and he's still got a few years to refine his skill set
-
Lukaku hasn't done anything wrong. Selling him will be a MISTAKE, just like Sturridge He can easily become a 20-goal striker for us, just needs faith from Mourinho

http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1773684/aston-villa-belgium-striker-christian-benteke-world-cup?cc=3436 Benteke out of the World cup? Massive opportunity for Lukaku to lead the line for Belgium..

Can't believe that in 2 seasons time, we will basically have a new spine to our team... Cech, Terry, Lampard all gone... I guess it's time for change.
-
Ferda will score the winner and then we will hear Gary Neville make that 'orgasmic' sound again...
-
There is nothing to like about the result. PSG can now play with freedom in the second leg due to their two-goal cushion The lack of squad depth is concerning, particularly in midfield where Ramires and Oscar have been well below par in recent games as well as the fact that Matic is unavailable for UCL
-
Really? Other than Mourinho, the only managers I would have wanted at Chelsea are: Hiddink or Klopp.
-
I just think people have become accustomed to success, and trophies (myself included)...and that's why when the manager goes through a difficult period, there is no patience and instead, we are sort of hoping for Roman to pull the trigger and get us a new manager. Is it time to build the new spine of the team? Courtois for Cech...someone for Lampard and Shaw for Cole
-
To be fair, Gilvorak pretty much summed up our season It's not a disgrace, it's the truth, unfortunately. This team has a LONG way to go
-
He's a gifted fullback, I wouldn't complain if he joins Chelsea!
-
Why would David Luiz be sad? If he wants to leave Chelsea, there would be a whole line of clubs ready to sign him. Dream scenario: Luiz + Cash = CAVANI :blue scalf:
-
I'm sure they will "appeal" the decision and be able to sign Ter Stegen at the very least.
-
Its Barcelona...watch them sign new players at the end of the season.
-
I recall Gary Neville discussing retrospective bans on MNF....the problem is, how do you tell the difference between two dives (based on the situation in the game) and what's the appropriate punishment.... 1 match or 3 matches or even more?
-
Bayern got what they deserved. Robben clearly dived against Arsenal....Rooney dived against Bayern, payback
-
My gut feeling: he's staying at Atletico... Wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of swap deal involving Courtois and Costa... I want him back at Chelsea...but Cech is only 31 and neither of them deserve to sit on the bench.
-
I was expecting a Bayern win..then I see the highlights of United doing well and gaining a draw. Will be very interesting if United score first in the second leg.... As for the Spanish match, what a hit by Diego.
-
In Jose's system, he'll always be a step-down from Cahill and JT. Luiz needs the right system to flourish as a CB. If he played for Barca, people would understand why his price-tag is around 30 million. Interestingly enough...Puyol is leaving Barca at the end of this season, I'd be surprised if Luiz is not a Barca player at the start of next season

Spurs have been a joke this season and Manure...well they were always going to fall after Fergie retired...and to make things worse, they hired MOYES, i'm sure they had BETTER options. But yea, I get your point Bushman. -

Progress has been made in terms of bringing back a quality DM in Matic and winning key games against the big boys....but our struggles against the lower-half of the EPL continues.. Overall...without any trophies*, the season is a failure. You can't call another manager a specialist in failure and then in the same season, fail to win anything with your own club. *The season isn't over...but I don't see us winning the PL or UCL this season.
