The issue with Kalas is a lack of playing time. He might be more ready to be part of Chelsea's first team...but another wasted season with 3-4 appearances won't help his development

It's not about spending 30 million on a 27 year old...from what i've heard, Arsenal want to spend on a quality striker and a new RB before reinforcing the midfield..

I think the 5 year contract is a common concept Bertrand signed a 5 year contract (doubling his wage) at the end of 2012....and now he's all but gone from the club (Hull or Villa being likely destinations)

Fair point...but I just don't see any hope with Torres. The best thing for Torres would be moving back to his boyhood club in Atletico and ending his career there... If he stays, I'll support him like any other Chelsea player but deep down it hurts to see such a well-paid player fail to perform game after game after game..

His contract expires in 12 months....Sevilla had to sell him for 20 million Similar to how Van Persie was sold to United...

I get the feeling that Torres won't be leaving Chelsea anytime soon

Signing a 28 year old LB for 20 million doesn't make sense...when you can get Shaw for another 8-10 million.
