if Baines was to leave Everton...he'd probably follow Moyes to United. And anyway, LB isn't that big an issue...if Cole does leave in 2014, give Bertrand a full season as our LB, see how he copes, then make a decision...

I think the rules for U-21 Euro Championship is that a player must be born on or after 1st January 1990. Not sure about 3 overage players...but from the Preliminary squads that i've seen...there will be a quite a few 21-22 years old in this year's edition.

Nice team...except Valdes as goalkeeper. I'm sure they'll be able to attract a better keeper than Valdes...they clearly aren't worried about spending money.

Torres is a moaner though. He's only played well, looked kinda happy under Benitez....he always looked miserable & out of place under Carlo, AvB, RdM.. Would love to see how Mourinho treats him.

I'd say one more season on-loan for Courtois. With the World cup next year, I don't think Courtois would be happy sitting on the bench. Hopefully the board makes the right decision at the end of next season. Let go of a legendary keeper in Cech or sell off a potential world-class keeper in Courtois?

Mikel's performances were utter rubbish in the competition. Most of his performances in a Chelsea shirt have been average or below-par. He hasn't really evolved his game..from that young teenager we signed all those years ago. To be honest, he's not even a vital part of our team...he only gets game time cause he's the only "experienced" DM in the first team squad. I bet if he was this lazy at United, Fergie would have sold him by now...

Mata would have to be the #10 cause he's useless on the wings. Hopefully De Bruyne comes back, we need a versatile attacking midfielder for our rotation.

He's similar to Moses. Will never be top class but in the right team, he'll be a good squad player for the next decade.

True, he wouldn't get many opportunities at Chelsea...but from what i've seen, he's not much worse than Moses.

MIkel is shite. He's a passenger in our midfield. The Luiz- Lampard partnership is better than Lampard - Mikel in midfield...cause when you think about it, Luiz actually tries to make things happen as a CB playing in midfield. Mikel just jogs around the pitch in a lazy fashion..makes a few passes to the goalie or CB...and that's about it.

Mata is not a striker. He's an attacking midfielder. We still need to sign a top-class striker...if we want to make it past the group stages of the UCL & seriously challenge for the PL title.

The team was heading downhill under RDM. We would of finished outside the top 4 if RDM had continued as our manager. The sacking was necessary, a club like Chelsea needs UCL football. As for Rafa not winning several trophies...it's pretty simple...the players didn't want to buy into his tactics initially...hence why our players looked clueless on the pitch. But now...the players seem to have adjusted to Rafa's tactics and we've seen much better results. Heck, if we played those competitions now...we would of won at least 1 of those trophies.

Benitez has basically done the job of an interim manager fairly well... His substitutions are a bit weird..in terms of players and timing but all in all, as long as we don't fuck up against Villa or Everton.... UCL football next season with Mourinho or someone else!

hopefully Moyes stays at Everton. His record against the stronger EPL sides is fairly poor and he's got no experience for UCL football. Moyes would probably end up like Hughes (at City) if he joined Chelsea...he'd suddenly have a massive amount to spend, wouldn't know what to do...he'd be overwhelmed.

True, we need better players than James McCarthy as our starting midfielder....but it wouldn't hurt to sign him as squad rotation. Just look at us this season...we had no deeper midfield options on the bench. If Moses is good enough, McCarthy is definitely good enough for a squad role at a higher level club like Chelsea or Arsenal..

That would be great. Mourinho and a top-class DM/CM.
