To be fair...Alonso was never going to join Chelsea. As for the rest of the Madrid players...I just get the feeling that Coentrao might follow Jose to Chelsea.

I'd take Jeremain Lens from PSV. He's clearly said that he wants to leave PSV: http://www.dutchfootball-league.com/jeremain-lens-demands-transfer/ He'd be a good squad player...capable of playing on the wings as well as second striker when needed.

It should be a three horse race for the PL title. With no more Fergie, will be interesting to see how Moyes handles the pressure of the United job. Wouldn't be surprised to see Mark Hughes or Phil Neville take over at Stoke..

Well I didn't use Google translate....but from another translating site the article basically says: Diego Lopez wants to leave Real Madrid. The involuntary protagonist of the last big move of Mourinho at the Bernabeu, the substitution of Iker Casillas , knows that after the departure of Portuguese coach, he will be back to sitting on the bench. Diego doesn’t seem willing to accept this role at the Bernabeu. Diego Lopez has two possible destinations, according to the Spanish radio program. One is Milan (Italian). And another, Chelsea (English). More likely it seems the latter, which would coincide with José Mourinho , his great supporter at Real Madrid, where he played ahead of Iker Casillas.

Blackman is too young. He should go on loan to a League 1 team...
-
Yeh cant wait to these youngsters play first team football for Chelsea. Just another 2-3 seasons

Benteke and Lukaku are too similar in terms of skill sets. Both of them have pace, strength, decent hold-up play, good shooting range. I wouldn't mind seeing a forward mixture of: Lewa, Lukaku & Ba...with Moses or someone else as the Winger/striker.

Brilliant post. Guests aren't annoying, that's just your perspective.

I love reading the negative side of Rafa's tenure at Chelsea Regardless of what you say, he got us to 3rd. Live with it.

I would love to see that become real. I'm glad the board gave him the interim job...cause I love reading some of the brilliant opinions on Rafa in this thread. He got us to 3rd place, won a trophy, boosted his CV and now he walks away from Chelsea with a nice pay packet.

So you're the expert on who's the gonna make the cut at Chelsea? Hopefully you never become a youth coach at any level of football.

I've seen Schurrle in about 20 games this season..and he's inconsistent. He does great in one game, then goes missing for 2 games..then comes back with a decent performance. I haven't seen Schurrle benefit the team when he's not at his best...he seems just as selfish as Sturridge. Schurrle just doesn't seem to have that special ability which is the difference between a top-class player and a good squad player. Anyway I hope Schurrle proves me wrong...but I don't see it happening.

I'm a big fan of Laudrup and I hope he stays at Swansea or goes to a different club. At Chelsea, he'd just get sacked like AvB & RdM...as soon as we start losing/drawing games..
-
I've read some of the comments on this players thread...and I still don't see what the big fuss is about. I get that he's still young and he can improve his overall game...but he's still a squad player at best. I also understand that we lack squad depth...but is spending 20 million on squad depth the right thing to do? I'd be happy with Hazard, Mata, Oscar and De Bruyne taking turns as the 3 attacking midfielders...as long as we SOLVE our CM/DM issues.
-
He did as expected. Kinda glad that Chelsea did hire him, I love seeing real opinions from Chelsea fans who can't adapt to change. He took alot of stick but he had the last laugh as a former Liverpool manager.

He's the 2nd best DM in the EPL right now? I'm guessing you don't watch many EPL games. As for being very good at what he does...if that was the case, we'd be struggling to win games without Mikel in the team...he's a passenger in the team. He's part of the reason why we have so many issues in midfield...
-
Agree with that article.. Vidal is the one that should of been sold for 20 million, not Schurrle. We should play hardball with Leverkusen...15 million (maximum) or no deal.
-
Just thinking about not seeing our three legends in Cech, Terry and Lamps in a few years time brings tears to my eyes. Essien and Cole are brilliant players as well. If Mikel leaves, I wouldn't mind. As for Paulo, what a class player on and off the pitch. Would love to see him as a coach someday.

Happy to see AvB miss out on UCL football....but IMO, Arsenal are just gonna screw up in the UCL again...
-
He only did well at one club. After Birmingham, he became a below-average striker, never really developed. Kinda glad we let go of him all those years ago..
-
Yes..because Newcastle have nothing to play for...and Arsenal are desperate to finish above Spurs.
-
Hopefully your dream doesn't come true against Everton....we need 3rd place!
-
You got some issue with Mourinho. As for spending money, you can spend 150 million on top players, but that doesn't guarantee your team will dominate the opposition and win the league title back to back. Mourinho was a key reason behind our dominance, he brought a winning mentality to the club.
-
Yep. http://m.sambafoot.com/en/news/47123_leverkusen_make____12m_offer_for_corinthians_forward_romarinho_-_report.html Interesting player.

Every manager has positives and negatives. Mourinho is probably the only top-class manager available at the end of this season.
