  1. CL is the only competition televized here, I definitely don't want to miss out seeing a few Chelsea games on TV instead of some crappy streams All of the hypothetical scenarios aside (e.g. doing a Juve/Bayern or Liverpool, going all rational and steady or panicking and running amok), I would actually prefer us to concentrate on the league. It's nice to compete in Europe, but now I would prefer us to do everything in our power to mount a serious title challenge. Missing out on CL would definitely have many cons, while the pros mentioned here are far from certain. So taking into consideration that cons - guaranteed, pros - not guaranteed, I would say that missing out wouldn't be a good thing. Would it be the worst thing to happen? No, the worst thing would be Benitez being given a long term contract. But imo it wouldn't be the best thing either.
  2. On what evidence do people rate PVA higher than Bertrand? I can't believe it tbh. I distinctly remember the time when Bertrand used to play well and PVA was nowhere to be mentioned. In fact I remember people saying that Bertrand was better overall. Some used to even say he's the best left back prospect in England. Now all of a sudden you want Van Aanholt back without a shred of evidence that he would outshine him and break through here. I remember when Ryan had his best game against Arsenal, everybody was ejaculating over that. People were calling him to be invited into the English NT and that he's already better than Cole etc etc... I just don't understand the logic at all. Is the knee jerk really that strong in here?
  3. I'm not interested in the circus they offer to tourists. I know how it's like, my sister's boyfriend went there as a journalist. He said it was all a fake show for tourists. They always had people following and watching them and telling them what they can take pictures of. First thing they had to do was put flowers under the gigantic Kim Il-sung statue. If they didn't do that they couldn't go further. They had pictures taken of them while they were placing flowers so that they could say "westerners love kim il-sung". He did manage to take some illegal photos though. But generally looking at the pictures, it seems as if everything was nice and dandy over there. No, I'm interested in the real North Korea, not the masked and polished tourist one.
  4. I thought my post that you quoted and my nationality tag would give it away... I live in Hamhung, North Korea. How is that possible? I'm genuinely interested in how you can access the internet and watch Chelsea games from there. I thought that wasn't possible for a regular citizen. Actually from what I've heard people don't even speak English in North Korea. I've been fascinated by this country for a long time, it would be extremely interesting to hear from someone living there. Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 2
  5. I agree that FullEnglishBreakfast is worthy of a nomination, but it's now certain he's going up for voting, so I'm not gonna nominate him. Btw, joined only on 20th March but already going up for vote, hasn't been a member for half a month... well done, sir. :tophat: There are several members I would like to nominate besides FEB. For example SinineUltra, Kojo, dumps, Stingray, Leif, The only place to be... etc. I think I'm gonna go with @Leif, because his posts are always well organized and easy on the eye to read. He makes some good points. I have also noticed that when I'm reading through loads of posts, then I naturally don't read everything, I skip chunks of them because I'm a lazy git, but I often find myself stopping to read his. As I said - easy on the eye, interesting content more often than not, slightly fucked in the head.
  6. I did notice, I even liked your post I'm a really bad commentator. For example you are not hairy, so I couldn't make that point. Shall I say you are smooth?
  7. So this one guy told me about something called 'affiliate marketing'. It's a way of promoting products or services online and earning a cut everytime a purchase is made through your affiliation. I thought I'd give this a try and see how much, if anything, is possible to earn through this. So yeah, take a look at the link in my signature and see if it interests you. I'm also interested if anybody else has tried affiliate marketing?
  8. Aaah, okay... I'm sorry, I take my words back.
  9. It fixed the participated threads bug
  10. Chill out, it's not cool fishing for drama. And if you couldn't understand, I meant lmao over N.Korea leaders' stupidity, not innocent people getting killed. If you knew what I've said before you'd know I'm one of the biggest anti-war anti-army guy you can meet. One of my biggest dreams on global scale is for every soldier to renounce their employer, so that the greedy corporatocrats and politicians didn't have tools to terrorize people anymore. You really should slam a bottle of beer or two to relax.
  11. I can't make out if you're joking or not. Before I remember you were all cool and calm, now you've become all touchy over a hypothetical situation. I also find it hard to believe that you couldn't make out I was clearly joking. Anyway, I will go with that you were joking too.
  12. There is a new version out, has it been updated yet?
  13. He looked good today. I don't typically follow other teams so I have no idea about his qualities tbh, but today he looked solid.
  14. I would lmao if N.Korea decided to attack the USA or even S.Korea. NATO would annihilate them. I've seen some news about them crazy people acting crazy again, like showing propaganda videos on news of them engaging in war with the USA and S.Korea and them winning with no sweat. I don't know what the purpose of such videos is, do they want to convince their people that there was a war and they won? Do peasants even have TVs?
  15. The selection was fine actually, those kind of players should be winning clubs like Southampton 9 times out of 10. But it's not only down to players, the organization and tactics were shambles. I can't count how many times I buried my face in my palm seeing our midfielders (primarily Lampard) and defenders pumping the ball high and long... to who? We're supposed to be playing possession football, but how can you keep possession by lumping the ball to short and frail players? That is just, aarrgghhhh... It's clear as cloudless sky our midfield needs reinforcements, none of the players are good enough or fit the tactics we're trying to play. Our starters in midfield should ideally be rotational options at best. At about 60th minute in second half, when we were chasing the game, Soton had 60% of possession. This is just, I don't know. If the team had more imagination, composure, organization and sense of what to do, we could have won comfortably. Any selection we put out should be enough against bloody relegation battlers, even without Mata. But looking at the movement and passing patterns, it's no surprise we're struggling against average sides. You add a bit of complacency and a clueless manager in the mix and you have the perfect recipe for a loss. EDIT: One more observation. Did you notice how many quick breaks Soton had? A class team would have punished us much more than 2 times.
  16. Why wasn't he in the squad? Was he ill or tired? I'm not up to date with national teams so I don't know if he played recently or smth? We're too overdependent on him.
  17. Talking about Lampard Terry situation, I actually think Jose is the best man to phase them out if they're still here when he comes. AVB failed at that because apparently he had trouble communicating properly and frankly they didn't think much of him. Jose wouldn't have this problem, he basically made them and I can see the old boys stepping aside silently under his leadership. All this "player power" nonsense would be put to rest. And no, I don't think he would foolishly make them "untouchables" again, I'm pretty sure he will be made aware that we're looking forward not backward. Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 2
  18. Who can? Good consistent crossers have become a rarity. Almost no top team puts emphasis on placed floaters anymore, it's more cut and whip in. Compared to others Dave has a solid floater, but he's still a fullback first and foremost so expecting constant quality crosses is unfair. Sent from my GT-S5660 using Tapatalk 2
