  1. Its this bloody time zone difference, its tearing me apart
  2. You've been so distant anyway, not spoken to me in ages :( :(
  3. Whats the difference between Mancini and a Mankini? Nothing. The sack can't be avoided.
  4. We should give him a new deal and offer him plus 5 million in part exchange for Phillipe Coutinho....
  5. I don't know whos been better this season out of De Gea and Courtois. De Gea this season has been outstanding for United as Thibaut has been for Atleti since going there. I feel Courtois would need a loan in England to adapt as De Gea struggled with the physicality of the league when he first took over in goal for United. I mean look at De Gea now physically in comparison to him when he was in Spain. Hes much stronger and bigger which Courtois might need to do to deal with certain aspects of the league.
  6. HELL NO. Jesus christ. My eyes. I think they might be Dirk Kuyt's adoptive parents tbh. Hes ugly enough, their ugly enough... it seems right. What could possess a man to create such a thread btw......?
  7. Yes I am sure he would be tbh. The point is Sanchez and Di Maria are much more established as players, where as Lamela is only 20 or 21 and he is still developing.
  8. He offers a better tactical understanding of his role and a bit more strength as well but apart from that very much the same yeah. Would be 20 odd million spent on a player we dont need as Ramires tactical understanding can be worked on and he can do more weight training to improve his strength.
  9. Thats basically what the guy says, that hes going to London, that hes going to get 12m a year and that it will be a major change in his life.
  10. Wait I was reading this link (http://www.calciomercato.com/altre-notizie/alberti-a-cm-com-cavani-giochera-a-londra-mazzarri-via-al-99-9-777090) and it said something about a €50 million offer for Erik Lamela. Perhaps its us, we tried to get him before he went to Roma from River Plate but theres been no links at all so I doubt it. Also I know google translate is very vague but And who on the bench in place of Mazzarri? 'Not Di Matteo, who will remain in England and expects the City bench. In Italy we talk about Montella, but I think he's too calm. It would take a technician to Mourinho, or the Count: a tough bloke who knows how to give a shock. Montella is very good, but it has a character of chamomile '. Di Matteo for City? Wtf? But yeah the other link says Cavani to Chelsea basically so if its true I will be very happy!
  11. I've read around 36 million pounds but that was a year ago and I think the exchange rate has gone up slightly so yeah your probably right.
  12. His all round game is improving each week. Would consider signing him. He gave Cahill and JT who are both good CBs a hell of a problem and if Villa stay up its mostly due to him.
  13. Wait did James sign a new contract recently? Because the last I heard it was around 35 or 36 million, cant remember whether it was pounds or euros.
  14. This summer I think Moutinho and possibly James Rodriguez will be sold as well. Moutinho cost about €11 million and will go for at least €20 million as he is keen to leave. Rodriguez cost about €5.1 million and will surely fetch €35 million euros (his release clause). Incredible to look at the profits they have made from young players that they got for nothing really. Ajax will be another club who can boast such profits. Anyway just hoping we get a striker and a CM. Personally would love to get Rooney and Xabi Alonso. Another winger would be nice too tbh. Schurrle would do but I'd love us to try and tempt Di Maria as he is technically excellent and can play left or right wing.
  15. Its not that I don't like Danny. Sure Danny is more talented than Cork and Sinclair too but I didn't mean to compare them in terms of ability. I meant that they are at lesser clubs now. Sturridge has impressed at the start of his Liverpool career but hes still got a long way to go and he has massive boots to fill, he may be the quickest player to scored 10 goals for Liverpool but a certain Spaniard scored 30 odd goals in his first season for them and look where he is now. As long as Torres was here Sturridge would always be second choice, he couldn't accept that. It was obvious he wanted to play through the middle, in an interview today he mentioned playing as a lone striker. He harped on a few times when he was here about it too but in all the years he was here he was hardly going to displace a striker of Didier/Nico/Sheva/Torres' exprience, ability and reputation was he? His performances under AVB were great and I expected him to continue under Villas-Boas until he got sacked. Sturridge had the talent to go far, even when AVB was sacked I still expected him to play more but then he became increasing frustrating in games due to greediness and inconsistency. Yes he could have given us more than Torres this year but so could Falcao/Cavani/Lewandowski and even Lukaku I reckon. When we get a player upfront as good as Dider and Nico were then we will see how average Danny is in comparison. ..... just realized I put Sheva in there, don't think Studge was at the club when he was here tbh so yeah fuck it.
  16. The same with Jack Cork, Scott Sinclair, James Younghusband etc? We've done that countless times with younger players and nothings came of it. Ok Sturridge and Sinclair have scored against us but does that mean anything? Sturridge did well for a period under AVB but struggled under Robbie. Top players have to adapt to different philosophies and formations and while Danny did well on the wing under AVB but he hardly set the world alight when we played on the counter in a much more rigid system under Robbie. I actually thought he would have excelled more in a counter attacking system due to his pace as well but the games he got he struggled. The fact players like Kalou and Bertrand played more under Robbie on the wing in the games too (also the CL final and FA cup final) proved something. He was hardly that special. Sure he didn't get games in his favored position but I can't believe I'm saying this, Torres started scoring goals and playing better for some reason and Drogba, well hes Drogba and if you play him in the big games he delivers. Would you of preferred Robbie risked playing an unproven player as CF in the CL or Torres (despite how bad he has been for Chelsea)/Drogba, who both have plenty of experience as a CF? The one thing I've learned with younger players we've let go is that you cannot say they would have been good for us because the only way from Chelsea is down really, Sinclair, Cork and multiple others are all at lesser clubs in comparison to Chelsea. Nemanja Matic in my opinion is the only exception. He has been brilliant for Benfica and is rightfully linked with a move to maybe the only bigger club in England (theoretically) than ourselves, Manchester United. Not that Benfica are a bigger club than us but hes justified his reason to leave Chelsea although it might have been forced on him more than anything. Hes made leaps of progress and could play for many top teams.
  17. I never meant given a chance this year. In a couple of years he will be much better than Danny. Hes another tipped for big big things. Sure hes got to work hard as talent never gets you anywhere but if he does he will be a cracking striker. Feruz is very small but hes very powerful btw so to say he would struggle physically is a bullshit statement. I actually reckon next season he might go on loan tbh. Hes been very good for the U21s and NextGen team this year.
  18. He is an alright player. I never said he wasn't. Its just we haven't really made a mistake as big as everyones made out as we've invested in a player with much more potential (Lukaku) and I have a feeling that Islam Feruz given a chance here will also be better than Studge. Yes we have also kept Torres which is bad but still, Torres won't be going anywhere any time soon, you don't buy a 50 million player to get rid of him 2 and a half - 3 years later. And Lukaku being the best player in the world, hopefully haha I have been watching Lukaku for a couple of years and I hope he goes very very very far as hes incredibly talented.
  19. I think Ba only got a 3 year contract so if say Jose or another manager doesn't want him, we can sell him and demand a decent fee as he has 2 and a half years on his contract as compared to 1 year or 1 and a half years where clubs would ask for the price to go down. Even though by trade we are hardly a selling club but what happens if Jose goes "I dont want Ba, Romelu is better or Nando is better or I want Cavani/Falcao/Rooney to lead the line" or whatever. He can get a decent fee for a player who will have a lot of suitors in my eyes.
  20. Lets just remember. He never played this well for Chelsea. Enough said. Yeah sure Robbie didn't give him much of a chance but there was obviously a reason. £12 million for an unproven player with 6 months on his contract is superb business imo. If we had a top striker like we did with Drogba/Nico (before Danny went to Bolton on loan) nobody would have given a shit about the fact we'd let him go but since we have misfiring Torres and Ba who doesn't even get every game which is a abysmal decision everyone seems to cry every game he scores. Remember this, Lukaku will be 5 times the player Sturridge is. Sturridge can't even get a game for England ahead of Danny Welbeck, what does that tell you?
  21. Jesus hahahaahhaha, these guys must be insane.
  22. Hahaahaa are we seriously fighting over a most controversial award? What a bunch of gobshites.
