  1. We don't need 3 strikers who can score over 20 something goals each because Oscar, Hazard and Mata are goal scoring players too. Mata has 18 this season, Oscar has 9, Hazard has 11, Ba has 16(?) and Torres has 18. Thats 72 goals between 5 players even though Ba scored 12 or 13 for Newcastle. I'm unsure whether or not my numbers are right though, I was trying to recall from the top of my head haha. Also throw in Lampard, Cahill, JT, Ivanovic, Luiz, players who are all capable of scoring goals too. As long as other players are scoring and helping the strkers we have, we don't exactly need 3 20-25 goal a season strikers. We could do with the option tbh but if we take Lukaku back, keep Torres and Ba then I think we will be fine if the MF players also help out. Plus if we don't loan Romelu and sign Falcao or Cavani how will he get games? He wont........ we need to start playing the younger guys regardless of 'we could have Cavani or Falcao'
  2. Mikel is an established player now, hes not potential, hes looking to kick on in his prime. Hes not an 18 year old needing games to develope. Also what do you mean expand his passing? his passing is neat and tidy and he can play great long balls/passes every now and then when needed. Hes never been restricted, hes been important since Carlo came over and won the double, he was also important winning the CL and FA cup last year, to make out his plays restricted is a joke! He doesn't need a 'proper coach' he needs a player that suits the pivot next to him. Hes been one of our best players this season along with Mata, Cech, Hazard, Oscar and Azpi imo.
  3. Steve Clark was watching Kalas last weekend, I think he wants to sign him on loan for WBA next season. Which is good for him but possibly bad for us. Anyway onto the pivot. I think when you said that Mikel has a restricted game you are surely joking, I don't want to get into this but Mikel could do with someone like Song (in a role he had at Arsenal, where he had a bit more freedom due to playing next to Arteta) next to him. Song really fine tuned his game and got was it 11 or 12 assists from CM, which is quite impressive. Hes a rounded player, can attack and defend equally well and would be perfect. I don't want to see Oscar wasted next to Mikel tbh, one of the ebst parts in his game is his technical ability and the fact he drops t oask for the ball to help his teammates out, which ultimately frees up space and drags players out of positions. Playin him next to Mikel would be pointless, his passing range is good and his defensive work rate is too but still hes in my eyes a number 10 more than anything. Also we must go back to 4-3-3 if we want to become this tiki taka like team. 4-3-3 is the perfect formation for it. Can change into a 3-4-3, 3-4-1-2, 3-3-1-3 or a 4-1-4-1 or 5-4-1 depending on what match situation. The players we have suit it better.
  4. Play like that to the end of the season and you can stay, if not fuck off. Only 20 mins but he showed passion, showed desire, belief in his ability etc. Unfortunate with the pen, would have been a good pen if it was 2 inches lower.
  5. If Wilshere wins young player of the year after about 5 games I can actually remember him playing then I will punch every PFA writer in the face.
  6. Rafael is so overrated, good going forward, shite defensively. If Wallace turns out like him then god help us. Tbh I rate only Zabaleta and Richards as better RBs than Azpi even though Richards has rarely played this year. Guy is beast. Probably turn into a CB though. Anyway Cesar > Ivanovic at RB, offers so much more than the Serb apart from strength and an aeriel presence.
  7. Wilshere can't play in the pivot imo. Hes always pushing up leaving lots of space for the opposition MF players to exploit, which eventually leaves Arteta/Ramsey outnumbered in MF. I've seen a lot of Arsenal fans also mention this, still a terrific player though and I'd have him here no matter how much he is Arsenal through and through.
  8. Mikel was brilliant today, million times better than what Lamps was.
  9. Stats from the last few seasons: Real Madrid (all competitions) 2008-09 44 games 24 goals 9 assists goal every 1.83 games. 2009-10 40 games 29 goals 6 assists goal every 1.38 games. 2010-11 25 games 13 goals 6 assists goal every 1.92 games. 2011-12 54 games 26 goals 10 assists goal every 2.07 games. 2012-13 28 games 10 goals 6 assists goal every 2.8 games. Impressive stats except this season due to lack of playing time and injury problems. Been a big fan of Higuain since I can really remember first seeing him playing. Obviously hes not been at his best this year but neither has half the Madrid team. He seems to be one of those players who needs to play 9/10 games to get into a good run of form. Hes also a team player, has played various positions for Real under previous managers and is vice captain there too I think. I think in the right team he could be a very very good striker.
  10. Apparently he wants to move to London because his girlfriend has a job with the BBC and he wants to live in London. http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/spanish-press-say-tottenham-is-likeliest-destination-for-higuain Obviously Real want Bale offering 30 mil and Higuain but I say we should try and bid for him because Spurs will want to keep Bale.
  11. 300k p/w wages, aye fuck off Rooney.
  12. Sky Italia are reporting that Barcelona and Santos have reached an agreement for the transfer of Neymar for €92 million. WOW. Not that Neymars a bad player, hes obviously very talented but 92 million is an absolute farce. Edit: In fact doesn't Neymar not have a 45 million release clause or he did back in 2011 when we along with 4 other clubs activated it. I can't remember hearing about him signing a new deal after it either tbh so is it bullshit or what? Or did he sign a new deal?
  13. Ba is only 27 or 28, thats someone in their prime, not an old player. The injury prone thing is also overstated, he hasn't had a lengthy injury in the PL yet. There was a stat flying about that he hadn't missed a game in like 6 years due to injury before he signed for us. Also on Feruz. Physically Feruz is actually probably one of the players more ready for senior football games be it Championship or PL. He is actually better physically than what you'd think for being 17 and 5 ft 7 or whatever he is. Hes nowhere near as big as Lukaku but hes not a frail boy like Josh. Hes been compared to a younger Wayne Rooney because hes a strong, powerful and dynamic player. Hes probably the best prospect we have after Nate, in fact I don't know whos the better prospect out of Chalobah or Feruz (may be a biased opinion because Feruz is an adopted Scot haha). But honestly, Feruz was playing with Scotland 17s by the time he was 13 or 14 I read, he played in a testomonial game for the late Tommy Burns in 2008 or 2009 when he was 15 or something. If he was still at Celtic he'd be a first team player, no doubt, Lennon was absolutely gutted to lose him. I know its only the SPL but if it were allowed he probably would have been a first team player at 15. I'm going out on a limb and saying he will be a full time Scottish international by the time hes 19 or 20. Hes more the capable.
  14. Would be an interesting appointment. Maybe he'd need an older head like Hiddink as director of football to help him out but I actually think he'd be very successful here tbh. Hes Chelsea through and through but if he got sacked we'd have all this mad shit where the fans hate whoever comes in after without giving them a chance bullshit again. Hes certainely a better manager than what Robbie is tbh but the difference is one Champions League and one Fa cup on Robbie's CV compared to fuck all on Steve's ! He'd certainely bring back that feel good factor, look at how well Albion have done under him but I suppose there are also other guys who deserve credit like the guy whos in charge of recruitment. Since he arrived, hes been very successful and astute in arranging deals for the likes of Claudio Yacob, Ben Foster, Lukaku even though its only a loan deal, Shane Long etc. Can't even remember his name though.... lmao.
  15. Heard a rumor going about that we are interested in M'baye Niang. Don't see it happening, he only just moved to Milan and IIRC has signed 2 contract extensions already which shows incredible commitment tbh.
  16. Sky Sports are reporting that Fernando Torres has tested positive for using performance reducing substances.
  17. Just my opinion on a few of our younger players who are on loan and who could be/wont be part of a future Chelsea team: Courtois is more than ready to start. Josh needs a season or two in the Championship before 2 seasons of regular PL football before being ready realistically. Lukaku needs another year of regular football but could probably do a job. Chalobah is probably the same as Josh another year in the Championship or a few seasons of PL football if Watford get promoted. Piazon, unsure, looked out of place in the FA cup game vs United. Probably a season or two of regular top level football in any country would do him good. Kalas, is he ready? Not watched much of him but I've heard very promising reports about him. Maybe use him as a backup RB with Ivan used as a CB or a PL loan depending on who comes in as coach. De Bruyne, more than ready and capable just where to play him? Wide left, wide right, attacking midfield? Box to Box MF role? Depends on the coach next year and his preffered formation. Feruz, keep him with the u21s then maybe a loan deal in the Championship depending on his progression next season. Omeruo, really impressed with him at ACON, apparently his agent said we were considering taking him back next season, unsure if hes ready or not but based on his ACON performances he could maybe get a loan at a mid table PL club. Kakuta, he can just fuck off tbh, wasted talent, shit attitude. Ake looked solid vs Middlesbrough, should get a loan in the Championship, then another year then maybe a year in the PL after. Sam, hate to say it his career looks like it has been over for a few years. Bruma, probably be sold at the end of the season to Hamburg. Doesn't look like hes going to be a top center half anyway. PVA, don't know, probably be sold, hasn't really settled as well at a club as well since his Newcastle loan. Davila, never had hope for him at all really, unsure how hes doing, don't think he'll get much of a chance with our current attacking options. Thorgan, really surprised me, actually see him getting a chance in our team in 3 or 4 years tbh. Depends on picking good loans though but still promising. Wallace, unsure, not seen much, could be good, could be bad. We'll see though. Will he be loaned out in Brazil next year? Probably not, with the likes of Napoli, Juve, Roma all wanting him last year maybe we should look to loan him out in Italy next year. The other English lads, George, Patrick, Billy, Sam etc don't see much of a chance for them sadly due to the players we have in their positions. Lalkovic, had hoped that he'd have had better chances on loan but it hasn't worked for him too well. Still young, probably get him a league 1 or championship loan next season see where he goes from their.
  18. I didn't mean the teams performances, I meant Lamps' individual performance. He impressed me a while ago when he had scored like 10 goals in 13 games or whatever. Was doing decent enough in the pivot, hes slumped, as the team has but hes been one of our worst players.
  19. When he starts performing to a suitable standard thats required at Chelsea FC everyone will stop criticizing and blaming him.
  20. I actually think we won't play as bad as we did tonight. We probably will change things. Luiz back in MF alongside Mikel hopefully and Cahill back in at CB alongside Branna or JT. Hopefully put Ba upfront too and use Oscar/Mata centrally with Moses and Hazard out wide. I actually think we can beat United, if we play well and it depends if they go full out or rest a few players, like playing Buttner instead of Evra, Smalling instead of Ferdinand or Vidic etc, if they were to rest a few players we'd have a better chance but still need to up the performance. Would prefer to see Oscar starting and Mata on the bench tbh, Oscar got really close to Ba vs West Brom and I reckon he'd do the same. His defensive skills and work rate would be useful against Carrick. --------------Cech--------------- ------------------------------------ Dave-Cahill-JT/Branna-Cole ------------------------------------ -----------Luiz-Mikel------------ ------------------------------------ Moses-Mata/Oscar-Hazard ------------------------------------ ---------------Ba-----------------
  21. Dortmund will have a lot of money made from their CL campaign and ultimately the amount of revenue they have made the last few years if you think about it. He'd be a great signing for them though.
  22. Bit harsh on Kezza but you made a good point, Steaua have a good history in European football. Played better than us tonight and the result you guys got was well deserved.
