Anyone got a replay of the foul Ivanovic got sent off for? Thought it was a dive or at least a very soft fk to give when I was it in full-speed.
-
Just days after copying the Munich penalty, he copies the Munich header.
-
Still a half to play. First one was meh but I didn't expect a dominating game from us anyway. We've come to OT to do a job.
-
Van Gaal is an idiot for not using Mata's dead ball qualities, wow.
-
Willian has the football IQ of a stone.

Salah, Schürrle and Mikel to come on in this game. #captainobvious

Busquets was merely a product of the system Barcelona played. Like someome said on these forums a couple of years ago, if Mikel played for Barclona people would be claiming he's the best DM in the world. Now that the tiki-taka isn't working anymore Busquets and especially Pique are highly exposed as the overrated players they always were. It's easy playing football when the rest of your team has the ball 70% of the time but come the time the opponent has it, you either have to be very athletic or have to possess a high football IQ. Neither applies to Busquets (and Pique, for that matter).

I'll take a draw here.

Yeah, Gourlay didn't do well when it comes to sponsoring deals. Though, Gourlay did manage to get a couple of new sponsors on board the last couple of years none of them was a big one, and ultimately if the reported Turkish Airlines deal is true then that might have been the last straw. Rationally thinking, it would be pretty embarrassing if Gourlay was the lone man negotiating with Turkish Airlines without anyone else supporting him and having a veto.

Read my first post. As long as Jose's at the helm it won't happen. That's not what I meant by "morals". I was talking about traits like loyality etc which Jose seems to value as important morals. Hence it's more likely he goes with Ivanovic or even Cesar before Fabregas as our next captain (hypothetically considering Jose's still our coach by the time Terry is no longer our captain) simply because they have deserved it over a longer period.
-
Sentimentalism =/= morals. In case somebody doesn't know the difference.

Then he's pretty unlucky that Ramadan was during summer this year. But that's life. If we factored in all the reasons why players aren't making it at big clubs then we'd see these big teams playing with a different starting-11 every weekend since, you know, everybody deserves a fair chance.

He played over 500 minutes for us last season, 5 out of 11 times he played more than 60 minutes and he didn't show much aside from regular brainfarts when it comes to end product. It was his first games in the Pl so I give him a pass but he had a pre-season to prove himself and he simply didn't. The majority of our AMs arrived late into pre-season so he had the perfect opportunity to show Mou that he can rely on him which he didn't really do.
-
Haven't been following Chelsea much lately so thanks for that information! Jose's right in what he's saying IMO. As far as I'm concerned, giving the armband to a player who hasn't even played 3+ years at the club despite having good enough leaders in your squad already wouldn't be the right thing to do morally. In times where loyality in football/sports is getting more and more rare it speaks volumes to reward players who have earned their place in the locker room over a long period.
-
As far as I know he has half a season at Chelsea under his belt already plus a pre-season. In neither did he show aynthing significant (or promising) to make the claim that he has the potential to be more than a squad player.
-
Weird timing... you'd have to think that either he's got a lifetime opportunity on the table or that the club is forcing him out which would be stupid on our side considering, again, the timing of this news.
-
As long as Mou is at the helm Fabregas is not going to be our captain anytime soon. Jose knows about Fabregas' history (most importantly, vs Chelsea).
-
I don't really understand why we're having this debate over Salah's playing time after every single game. He gets his chances, and despite fitting our system (inbefore someone claims this is a Mata or KDB situation...) he doesn't take them; hence he's sitting on the bench. It's not rocket science. When he proves that hes's good enough to get regular playing time Mou will give him a fair chance to prove himself even more on a regular basis. Until then he's a mere squad player and rightly so.

The fact that Drogba pulled off the Munich penalty is something special. Start again where you left...
-
No more explanations needed, really. It's quite surprising people can overlook such obvious things. Missing the forest for the trees...

Cheers!

Any chance that gif signatures are being removed? They're making the loading time go up drastically.
-
Totally unnecessary and idiotic challenge in the middle of the pitch, ffs. The second he made that tackle he knew he'd get sent off.
-
Man, Cahill's positioning was absolutely horrible. Picked it up a bit in the second half but the first one was bad.

Technically there's no contract but some kind of "soft law" meaning you're refusing the highest honor in the life of a professional footballer.
