  1. Hazard's scoring instincts are so bad, it's a huge liability in our game.
  2. So can I use a master's thesis on why I don't like one player's actions as my ava/sig or is that deemed "childish" as well? We all know this last point is addressed for one specific player, no need for this "any current or past Chelsea player" pretense.
  3. The fanboyism is strong in this thread. The ultima ratio for some people, it seems.
  4. Lock this thread, we're going nowhere with this one.
  5. NBA 2K15 is the game for PC atm. Your PC should be good though to be able to play it.
  6. Wtf. Tell them to fuck off and go to a zoo or museum or do the stadium tour if they wanna take pics. Fucking idiots.
  7. Because Willian and Schürrle use their speed to their advantage on the wings, right? Playing winger isn't all about speed. Oscar has decent speed, he has a good first step and he knows how to pick a pass or cross from the right side as we've seen plenty of times under Benitez and at the world cup. When Willian was taken off the pitch yesterday Oscar played his best period of the game on the right flank. Maybe the opponents were tired, maybe Oscar got lucky with a few decisions/crosses or maybe he is simply better suited there. If everyone's fit, personally, I go with a midfield-3 of Matic, Fabregas and Ramires with Hazard and Oscar on the wings. The way Ivanovic has been playing in the final third so far makes anyone playing with him on that side less meaningful simply because Ivanovic has been that good. Having someone like Oscar who can make a more adventurous pass should be helping Ivanovic even more. I don't wanna watch Willian do his step-over and go to the right move anymore. That's basically his only way to get past defenders and it's not effective at all.
  8. It's amazing that Dortmund could be sitting in the second last spot if Freiburg win their game this matchday.
  9. Try him on the right wing. I'm tired of watching him slow down out attacks in the center of the pitch.
  10. Pogba is the perfect example for what I was saying. Despite playing brilliantly for all United youth teams not only did SAF refuse to use him in the the first team, United also didn't let Pogba go out on loan. Talk about putting a player in a situation to succeed... The thing is, why would a top club go after someone like, for example, Chalobah next season if he's shit at Burnley all season long after being not good at Boro previously? Don't you think that the situation would be a different one if he had been a free agent after his loan spell at Watford? Again, it hugely comes down to what the club does to your development. As some already pointed out, Baker has done everything asked from him, he was pulled up to the big club instead of letting him go out on loan. And yet, he can't be trusted to play vs a lower-tier club.
  11. You're being unfair in putting all the blame on the players by saying "if they're good enough...". It's the clubs' job to put their youth players in the best possible situation to succeed. As we've seen with McEachran, things go south if your club doesn't know how to handle you. Or would you claim that not being used by AVB and being sent to a Swansea side that already had their midfield set was McEachran's fault? What about Kalas doing everything possible to make himself known during his loan spells, and then never being used in the whole season (I get that he had an injury at the start of the season but come on)? Or Chalobah playing a great season for Watford and then against his wish being sent to Boro instead of Watford? Obviously, hard work and patience are as important as talent but so are the club's decisions.
  12. No, I'm not forgetting it at all. The concept of the FFP itself is flawed in many way. For example, what does the FFP in a circle market mean? If top teams like us earn money from selling players and we go out to splash that money on at least one new player at least one other club will have the funds to buy a player of equal $€£ value which will lead to another more club having money for transfers. If one team team decides to spend more than a player A is worth at least one team will have more money than they expected they would get. Said team goes out shopping and et voila, they'll have to pay a fortune for a player B since his team wouldn't want to let him go for a smaller sum than player A's. I reckon we'll see at least another CB being dealt for more money than Mangala and he won't necessarily be any better than him; quote me if it doesn't happen. We've seen what has happened over the past few years. Hazard cost us 32m, one a couple of years later Özil went for 45m, then another year later James was bought for over 60m. That's the inflation of the market. As long as money is floathing around Europe's top leagues the sums won't be an object. *player A and player B have a similar/the same value
  13. He's looked good ever since his cameo vs Palace.
  14. AFAIK, Oscar is a starter, and so is Schürrle, albeit a part-time one.
  15. In a market that has seen transfer fees go up drastically over the past 3 years? He definitely will.
  16. My English is worse than yours but doesn't Jose say the complete opposite? As in, "Cech and Mikel didn't feature in the United game but came to Shrewsbury and gave a fantastic example"?
  17. He'll be doing fireworks from his ass for his 10th goal.
  18. http://88.80.11.29/92751/watch-shrewsbury-town-vs-chelsea Working well for me.
  19. That 1-on-1 vs Smalling sums him up perfectly. Was pressing forward, got the ball and then fucked it up completely.
  20. At some point you have to change your approach. This is the second time we've sat deeper vs a non-mediocre team and it was also the second time that the opponent managed to score a goal to tie things up. I'm all for not going out full-attack but at least we should be able to control the game when we're up 1:0. That really shouldn't be too much to ask for.
