  1. Just gonna quote myself since nothing has changed.
  2. We simply have too many one-dimensional players in our squad. Aside from Hazard, Matic and Cesar every single player that started today's game is too dependent on either the player behind, in front or next to him. Terry can't play if his partner doesn't possess above-average pace, Cahill can't play if his partner doesn't have a huge football IQ. Ivanovic needs someone to cover for him, Willian always needs someone to help him out offensively, Fabregas has no pace and is a liability defensively for our system, Costa needs the support of the guys behind him and Oscar, hell I don't even know what kinda support he doesn't need. Now compare this squad to the one we had under Mou's first time at the Bridge. Back then our midfield was probably the most versatile in the history of the PL, our back-line was a joy and our striking force in Drogba revolutionized the way we view strikers' now. With the current state of our team too many players are doing a job they ideally shouldn't be doing. Matic shouldn't be covering for him AND Fabregas, Hazard shouldn't be creating for all 3 players behind our striker, Azpilicueta shouldn't have to worry about exposing Terry and his lack of pace, Ivanovic shouldn't be our main threat on the right flank, whoever is playing with Ivanovic on the right side should be able to provide offense himself and shouldn't have to cover for Ivanovic all the time (Though, I advocate that this should be the case for the remainder of the season considering our lack of options). The lack of allrounders and two-way players is worrisome IMO. You can't have a healthy balance within our starting-11 if guys have to bail our certain teammates from the start of the game. That absolutely shouldn't be the norm.
  3. We can't expect a player to be aware of his surroundings in a radius of 3 metres? The fuck has this come down to?!
  4. I probably gotta call Oscar and apologize. If he's useless then I don't know what Cuadrado is. Doesn't seem to have any pitch awareness and football IQ at all.
  5. Anyone still taking Oscar over Mata is a lunatic.
  6. Southampton's transition game is simply brilliant. Do they even need 5 seconds to setup an attack in our half?
  7. These NBCSN commentators are so incompetent, borderline-Oscar level of incompetence. Discussing whether a foul is a foul or not if it's not deliberate.
  8. With the occasional Drogba start instead of Costa.
  9. Lineup exactly as I expected. Mou, it appears, really can't think outside his box anymore.
  10. If you're blaming solely Ivanovic for losing the lead in those games then I don't know what to say really. That's like the "Look how often we lost when Mikel is playing" argument all over again. I don't see how Ivanovic is at blame for being allowed to roam forward. We had that discussion in this very thread a few days ago. If Mou didn't advice Ivanovic to roam forward while Willian covers for him he wouldn't be doing it. He absolutely has the green light to be our main attacking threat on the right side and considering the success of this tactic I don't feel like it needs a complete overhowl. Oh yeah, I definitely remember the time when Ivanovic played alongside Luiz under Benitez for weeks and if my memory serves me well the two of them were absolutely bossing it. Interestingly enough that was also the time when Luiz, who most think needs to be bailed out by his partners, played his most consistent and best football for us... I also remember Ivanovic being paired with Kalas vs Liverpool and again absolutely bossing it. Ivanovic and Cahill have never played for an extended time together so there's no point arguing this as far as I'm concerned.
  11. Last time I checked Ivanovic had been playing a solid season for us, plus his game doesn't really rely on pace and mobility. I hope I don't need to stress that if you sold Ivanovic this team would be left with just one leader (Terry) as Cech himself seems likely to leave and Drogs will probably retire.
  12. Totally understand that. Just thought I'd give you our peasants' perspective
  13. Courtois signed a new contracts a few months ago, Hazard signed a new contract a few weeks ago. Doesn't sound like they plan on leaving to me. They surely had extended talks with Mou about the future so they do know what they have gotten themselves into.
  14. There were mods online, though. Think that caused Chelsea Legend 11's confusion.
  15. Don't expect miracles here. This team hasn't shown anything so far that would suggest that they have a strong mentality as a group. We'll probably get a lucky bounce but no way this team redeems itself. Mourinho will panic now and play his best possible team with the most pragmatic approach so say goodbye to your hopes for seeing guys like Remy and Luis and our youth players. The latter won't even sniff a second this season anymore.
  16. I think Alex is pretty much right here. You either commit to staying on the line or you go out for the ball with your all. Courtois did neither and was caught in no-man's land. That goals is on him as much as it is on Terry/Cahill. It speaks volumes that even our best player (Courtois) fucked up when it mattered most last night. This squad has no players to will the team to a win.
  17. You know what, I couldn't give a crap about his antics. Guy at least played to the extreme and gave his all. Which, unfortunately, was more than what the majority of his teammates showed tonight.
  18. Yeah well, that's what professionalism is I've been told by the Lampard disciples. Don't know what else you expected. We were the enemy.
  19. Lmao, if Mou goes on to complain about the ref...
  20. Don't you even dare give me this "knee-jerk reactions" crap. We just lost (not technically, obviously) a game were we had one man more than the opposing team for almost the whole game and still we weren't even able to at least control the game. What the fuck has this come down to?! This team is full of bitches and it seems our coach on the sideline has become one too. Simply embarrassing.
  21. Doesn't matter what happens in ET, the regular game is on Mou. It's absolutely embarrassing how fucking clueless we played with one player more on the pitch.
  22. Whoever is running our social media and PR department has completely stopped giving a fuck.
