I'm now officially nervous about this one with that lineup.
-
So annoying isn't it?
-
If we go with Lamps/Mikel they'll completely overrun us in midfield.
-
I want to see Mikel & Ramires in midfield with Hazard, Oscar, Mata in front of them. I'm not too bothered who plays up front.
-
I hope it's not true. Ramires is wasted out wide. Lampard/Mikel? *sigh*
-
He says Luiz with a "shock" return to the team. Only a shock to you fucking idiotic journo's.
-
It's probably Torres and Eto'o together.
-
Kyle Walker is actually pretty good defensively. It's going forward that he looks like a headless chicken.Hazard has been pretty quiet so far this in terms of statistical contribution so it would be the perfect game to ignite his season. It would also probably mean a ton to Mata if he's given the start for such a huge match. It would let him know that if he does as Mourinho asks he's a first choice player.

Please, please, PLEASE put Spuds in their place tomorrow! You can already see their ego's inflating thinking they're an elite side. Smack them at their house and make a statement. I'd love nothing more than to see our boys that Spuds hate score. Say a 2-0 victory with JT and Willian scoring.
-
Hopefully that's a tactic to make AVB think he's not playing and Jose will start him.

Tennis does not require more athleticism than basketball. They have the advantage in endurance and stamina but that's it. Basketball players are easily the most athletic on the planet. And on the rugby vs American football argument I'm sorry, but football here WITHIN THE ACTUAL GAME is much more dangerous and violent and MILES more athletic. Not talking all of this fist fights from that video on the last page, but the stuff within the game. You have players that are 250+ lbs that can run as fast as Theo Walcott. You have physical beasts like Calvin Johnson who are 6'5" and weigh 240 and can still run as fast as a world class sprinter while wearing pads. And remember, they also all wear weapons on their heads.

An in-depth look at America's Premier League allegiances
Pizy replied to Korea's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It's funny how United supporters always call us "plastic." They have far and away the most plastic and bandwagon supporters on the planet. -
If/when we beat Arsenal we and our players will obviously be happy and excited to move on to the next round, but we'll know it'd just be another game on the road to a trophy. If Arsenal win on the other hand, their fans will be carrying on about it for weeks and the "Wenger > Jose" brigade will make the internet unbearable. It would be like a huge accomplishment for the likes of Piers Morgan.
-
With that embarrassingly bad squad Arsenal fielded today our "second XI" from yesterday would thrash. Unfortunately, they'll probably do what Liverpool did today and throw out their absolute strongest side since it's actually a very important trophy for a club craving any kind of silverware.
-
On one hand I'd like WBA since it'll be easier to progress, but on the other I'd love to do what we did to United last season and knock Arse out of a cup competition.
-
It'll be a huge psychological boost for whoever wins. Really hope Ramires makes it or we'll have problems. This is the time for a vintage Hazard or Mata performance. I'm more worried about our defense than our attack, though. I'd gladly take a draw to be perfectly honest. Don't want both Arsenal and Spuds going 5 clear of us with a ton of momentum. Especially Spuds for me. They have a deep enough squad to win it all unlike Arsenal so they worry me a bit more currently.
-
Willian was not awful. You're blind if you think so. He wasn't great but showed flashes of what he can do.Mata I was disappointed with. He'll be amped up and be top class in a huge match like Spuds. It would fill him with a ton of confidence if he's given the nod. Oscar can be brought on in the 2nd half if need be.
-
We should not risk playing Lamps against that midfield unless we play 4-3-3. I'm now sweating this even more than I was before.
-
If Ramires is out we could be in trouble against Paulinho and Dembele. We could be utterly dominated in midfield if Lamps starts against them.
-
FUCK! Ramires likely out for Spuds!
-
Can't believe people are saying we played poorly there. Why, because we didn't win 10-0? We played with an entire XI that hasn't had any chance to get match sharpness and still handily won away from home. Yes, we should've scored a few more but we came within inches time and time again. Liked what I saw of Willian and Essien and I hope both start this weekend.
-
Could've won 6 or 7-0 if our finishing was sharper. Willian and Mata both just look like they need a run of games. Willian especially looked very dangerous with his crazy pace. I'd have Willian and Hazard on each wing with Mata in the middle against Spuds. I'd be confident in a win with that trio.
-
Essien really should be first choice in there with Ramires. He's looked very sharp and he hasn't even been playing this season.
-
Bertrand still useless going forward. Can't accurately cross a ball to save his life.
-
Holy shit, Torres! And what a finish!
