Exactly, and that's how it's been for the last few matches. Hazard is in a bit of a slump and because of that we've looked like a dull sword. Doesn't help that Oscar is going through a slump at the same exact time. Hazard just looks to me like he's showing his timid and shy side that he showed a little last season. Like he doesn't think he can do things he actually can. He did a couple of nice things there that half, but he's not being aggressive enough for me. Been like that since the West Brom game. Does something sick here and there but not having the impact he was pre West Brom.

Could've and should've killed the tie off in that first half. We're so blunt and wasteful in attack. We get up there and don't know what to do. Hazard should've done MUCH better on that counter with Schürrle wide open at the edge of the box. We should be 2-3 up right now.

Seeing Ramires & Lamps partnership again after a while.

Yeah, just saw the video via twitter. Unless the cameraman had the camera hidden inside something I don't think there's any way he didn't know he was being filmed. He was saying the stuff in a joking way and was laughing, though. He certainly wouldn't have said that in any kind of official media presentation.

More looking forward to and anxious about the Fulham game than this one to be completely honest. Wouldn't be bothered if we came out with a draw. Only thing I care about this season is the Premier League.
-
Can you sign players for 2 matches? Bring him back for the Arsenal games and let him give poor Arsene a few nightmares.
-
Striker + Kroos + Shaw = Premier League favorites and serious Champions League contenders next season. Think 2 of those will happen but can't see Kroos leaving Bayern. If it's at all possible I'd still have my doubts. Lamps is looking more and more likely to be given an extension and buying Kroos would seriously impact Van Ginkel's status at the club.
-
So I'm the only one who laughed out load at his quotes? José probably laughs himself to sleep each night thinking to himself how on Earth we're top of the league with no strikers. There's no way he could've seen this when he first joined. Don't know what the big plan for a forward is this summer but it will be a shocker I think with the way José talks about it. If he is already saying that we'll be "favorites" for the title next season then he's obviously very confident that we'll pull of the move. Wouldn't shock me if we got more than one top forward. Also wouldn't totally surprise me if the Lukaku rumors of him being sold were true.

True.+3 goal difference with £100m spent. Christ that's bad. I remember posting before the season started that Spuds would have a damn nice midfield with Dembele, Paulinho, Sandro, etc. but it hasn't been nearly as effective as I thought it would be and their attack is atrocious.
-
Top 4 essentially locked now? Spuds simply cannot score goals and are now 6 points behind Liverpool. Not insurmountable by any means, but with the form Liverpool are in I can't see them failing to make top 4 with no European matches for them to focus on.
-
Not watching the game but by the sound of it it's a typical Spuds game. Playing like complete shit. An 80th minute penalty or jammy 89th minute goal from a scramble on the goal line is inevitable. Incredible how much they've spent and can't score at all. Ridiculous that they're even in contention for a top 4 spot.
-
Liverpool have been and will continue to be massively helped by the fact that they aren't in Europe. That's what makes a win like yesterday's all the more important for us. We have to pile on the points while we actually have plenty of rest in between league games. Would they still be playing at such a breakneck pace if they had a packed fixture list? Doubt it. A part of me really hopes Spuds can pip Liverpool to 4th. That way Suarez would hopefully want off and it would bring them back down to Earth and hopefully set them back a couple of seasons. We really need to step it up and get back into good form. The 4th place side is still right on our tails.
-
I tell you what, I wouldn't complain a bit if we bought Bony as a second option next season. If we got a Cavani or Costa as first choice Bony wouldn't be too expensive. Cavani, Bony, and Lukaku is a very nice looking set of forwards.
-
Absolutely embarrassing.I say this often, but it's amazing that a club as big as ourselves who want to compete for every trophy has the weakest strike force of any of the top 5 sides in England.
-
18 goals for Sturridge. 18!
-
Ha!They're literally the mirror of us. Brilliant in attack but shit defensively. We struggle a lot in attack but are the best defense.
-
Liverpool's attack is just ridiculous. Allows them to just blow teams out of the water if they allow them to play. Teams like ourselves and City who can dominate the midfield are much better equipped to combat Liverpool though. Just can't see them being able to just do as they please against us or City. Crazy, though, that they have 2 strikers that will have 20+ goals each. We have Torres and Eto'o who won't reach 20 between them. Make the job José has done to get us top even more amazing. We're top of the bloody league with NO STRIKERS! Mental.
-
lolnoThat's how you finish 3rd or 4th every season.
-
Arsenal once more showing exactly what they are. Ultimate flat track bullies. They demolish all of the poor sides and get demolished themselves against the top ones.
-
Positives: Our entire back 4 were excellent. Matic was absolutely fucking immense. Gets my MOTM. Negatives: Just about all of our attacking players. We DESPERATELY need a top class striker and this match was even further evidence of that.
-
Poor by his standards I should've said. He's tried to take his man on several times and given it away.
-
Or form has just completely gone out the window since the West Brom game. Dominated in the second half of that game, dominated totally by City, and now outplayed at home by Everton after having a week to rest and prepare. Concerning. Oscar has been very disappointing for a while now and Hazard has now had 3 poor showings in a row. Worst possible time to go through a slump.
-
Everton doing to us what we should be doing to them. WAKE THE HELL UP!
-
I bet it would be for him. He wants to feel like he's the king of the castle. We saw what playing second fiddle to RvP did to him last season. Now he'll be on more money, know that United were desperate to keep him, and they'll give him captaincy to make him feel like the big man on campus.I'm also sure they've insured him that they'll be making some huge signings this summer. Whether Moyes can attract those is a different story. Let's hope not. Without CL football next season if they can still sign a few world class players they'll have way fewer matches than the rest of the big clubs and it can be like Liverpool this season. Lots of rest between matches and full focus on the league.
-
Captaincy is only a matter of time.Penetrated their assholes and will finish inside too. Embarrassing.
