Feel for Werner and Chilwell. If there was one game to see Lukaku and Werner together, was tonight. Don't understand Chilwell not starting too. He has not played a game this season and I don't see him starting against Spurs, so a bit bemused about that. Although Ziyech was not that good against Villa, good to see Tuchel giving him another chance as these are type of games we really bought him for tbh to unlock those defences.

City just won the league without a 20-goal striker and their top scorer was Gundogan with 13 goals. They also had only two players with 10 more goals and ended up scoring 25 more goals than us overall.
If our attackers chip in with additional 5-10 goals at the very least, if the midfielders and wingbacks can chip around 5 goals, then it's not impossible to challenge for the title at least. 
Even if we get Haaland, we can't expect him to be the only one to score the goals. Others also need to increase their output. And have said this long before, not sure how realistic is it as well to expect a 21-year-old to come to the Premier League and immediately lead a team to a title win/challenge, freak-of-nature or not.

Obscene transfer fee and wages which cannot be financially justified in any kind of way. A financial ball and chain of a deal  and completely blowing apart our wage structure like this is another very bad idea.
 
 
 

I know it's Haaland and I know he's a striker and you could say we need a striker but at the same time, there's also an element of "we need to buy him because he's the shiniest toy out there" to this. Last summer, it was Havertz. This time Haaland. Next year, Mbappe? There seems to be little thought given to the squad building here and the club, including Roman, just want to buy every shiny toy out there. While Haaland's position is at least obvious, I'd argue that we are still trying to figure out Havertz. Like, what is his best position? Is he a False 9? Is he an attacking midfielder? Is he a #10?

But Messi is Messi. lol

CL final in 4 days...  it feels so surreal

I put most of the blame on Mount. He's too fucking selfish in front of goal. His end-product is still garbage. Flicks and tricks are nice when you have a goal or assist to go with it. 
Yet everyone here are talking about everyone but him. Keep the same energy people.
