I also envy folks here who believe we are in a "normal" situation: quality group of players being held back by a less than optimal manager and that a mere swap, apparently with another B-lister, would significantly improve our game.
I look at the players on the pitch and have no idea where this improvement will come from.

Why do so many of You want these coaches that haven't won f*ck all.
Poch for example is currently a better coach than Lampard for sure and He improves sides but the fact remains He's won Sweet FA.
I accept even the likes of Ferguson had to Win a first trophy and maybe Poch could come here and Win something but I don't think any coach should be cutting their teeth on the job.
Unless We're going for proven winners of big trophies to take Us over the line what is the point.
Unless it's an Allegri, Jose, Pep, Klopp, Conte or Carlo it's just another Coach to improve Us over a few seasons and hand the reins over to a Winner.
I'm sorry but Our standards are at a massive low if We're eulogising over Nagelsmann, Poch and f*cling Tuchel.
All decent coaches that are Philosophy Coaches, not Win at all Cost Managers.

But yeah let's get a Coach that plays pretty football in a farmers league and then cry when they are found out and get the boot.
I've been there Myself wanting Sarri Ball and all the Mysticism that went with it but it doesn't work in the Prem without an Unlimited Budget and the PGMOL onboard.
Substance over style every single time for Me now.

Allegro did shit in Milan. Can‘t believe the stupidity of the people suggesting him.
My dream signing would be Simeone. He would bring everything Chelsea needs and he could be the next Mr Chelsea but that‘s not going to happen

Flick almost certainly wouldn't have Won the League with Dortmund because it's pretty much a one team league. Which makes Klopp's achievements at Dortmund all the more impressive.
At Chelsea We should be taking Managers when they have already won BIG Trophies. (Jose, Carlo, Conte). Not bringing in Coaches to improve Us a bit.

Malito reacted to Jase in Marina Granovskaia Appreciation Thread
Having Director of Football is one thing but having the Director of Football to be the one who picks and buys the players is silly because (a) having a Director of Football is not a foolproof approach, (b) what if the signings that the Director of Football make do not turn out great and (c) what if the manager does not like the players that the Director of Football bought? Then what?
Like it or not, there are always gonna be hits and misses when it comes to transfers and ideally, we would want to have more hits than misses. The key things are (a) the club have a clear idea what they want to be like, what kind of football do they want the team to play etc and (b) Director of Football or not, the manager and the board work closely with each other to identify the targets that the manager wants and is aligned with the club's overall strategy/plan for the playing team. Liverpool and Man City, for example, have their own Director of Football but they do not go and buy the players and just throw them onto Klopp and Guardiola. They work closely with them to get who they want.
The reasons why we have failed or have had mixed success with transfers in recent years are (a) the club have been yo-yo-ing between the kind of football they want the team to play and (b) recent managers were pain in the arse to work with. We had AVB and I guess to an extent RDM to introduce a more progressive playing style and move away from the pragmatic football. We even bought exciting young players like De Bruyne, Mata, Hazard, Oscar etc. But then after some bad results, the club reverted to type and went with pragmatic football and managers again - Benitez (albeit an interim manager), Mourinho and then Conte. And suddenly, the club decided to go for the progressive football and move away from the pragmatic style with Sarri and now Lampard. On top of that manager, those managers - Mourinho, Conte and Sarri - were also seemingly a pain to work with, one way or another. Mourinho and Conte threw their toys out of the pram immediately when they could not get their first choice targets and IIRC in Conte's case, he reportedly turned off his phone so that he could not be contacted by the board about transfers in the summer of 2017. As for Sarri, he was (still is I guess) a manager who doesn't fancy getting too much with all these transfer businesses.
Maybe this is still a bit early to form a definite conclusion about it but it finally looks like the club are getting their act together in terms of direction of the playing style and team and working with the manager to buy players. Lampard has constantly spoken about working closely with Marina, with Cech in the transfer market - as mentioned by other posters here, having Cech in the board does seem to have helped massively especially in bridging the gap between manager and board - and unlike previous managers, he does not moan and complain about the board in the media. He has always ensured that there is a positive working relationship between himself and the board. You might not be convinced about the signings of Werner, Havertz, Ziyech etc yet but I think overall, they have too much quality to be total flops for us. And it does seem clear that we want to play progressive football moving forward and so when we hire our next manager - whether because Lampard gets sacked, decides to move or for whatever reason - it is important then that we get a manager who has the same philosophy and progressive playing style to ensure the continuity. We can't just revert to type and hire another pragmatic manager again.

Malito reacted to Pizy in 🇩🇪 Kai Havertz
Him staying there for another season is the worst case scenario by far for Leverkusen, surely. Player may not be happy and motivated becasue by all accounts (and even according to their director himself) he feels like he has outgrown the club. They lose out on huge money that they'll likely only get this summer. And then worst of all Havertz will inevitably move to Bayern for a small fee and haunt them domestically for 10 years or more.

And Alonso deserved that nomination. Go to the "English football thread" and read my last post. "Alonso is a quality LWB but a pathetic LB". It's not his fault if people who decide TOTY don't understand the difference between LWB and LB. He was genuinely good at the role given to him. Hence the nomination.
And our attack? We are having a paradigm shift in culture. Tell me how many goals the Liverpool teams conceded under Klopp before vvd? Or pep in his first season despite being able to buy.
What embarassment? Stop over exaggerating things. We were always going to buy a new striker this window. So it was imperative to give both Tammy and michy a fair shot to understand if either or both had a future at the club. Plus Tammy was golden in the first half. Once his slump had come, he was dumped and Giroud was played. No one including FL would have doubted giroud's ability. Did not he bloody start the uefa super Cup too? But this year was about building blocks for the future.
"Players like Kepa, Rudiger, Kante, Emerson, Jorginho regressed this season..."
Another baseless and over exaggerated comment.
Jirginho - got dog abuse for more than half of the last season with almost every pundit and fan wondering why was he being played ahead of kante.
Emerson - yes. Because he was a worldie under conte and sarri. Baseless
Kante - one of our best players when he takes the pitch.
Rudiger - this one I accept. But read his own interview. He had a bad year, lamps did not tell him to go fuck up each game.
Kepa - lol. He was on a decline since the man City fiasco.
Hmmm. So I am sure that things like penalties is not something which is discussed right? Drogba and jt magically end up taking the final pens. (Btw fuck JT too? Lol). These things are pre decided among the players and staff. Even at college level. Such things don't magically happen out of nothing. Blaming it on FL - baseless.
"Acting like lunatic". Wtf. So if someone triggers him, what is he supposed to do? Bend over?
Not saying FL has been flawless, but the pros mightily outweigh the cons. We have exceeded expectations in every comoetition. We are now buying kai, werner, ziyech as compared to being linked with Zaha, arnautovic and what nots shit. Anyone who is NOT sold on FL yet, should take a deep and hard look at themselves, the PL table, the same thread in last June/July. It's easy to critisize and be the arm chair critic. You can do the same for the best ever players and managers in the world becayse everyone has their flaws. But only thing that matters is if the positives outweigh the negatives. And they do. Given the resources (or rather the lack of), and given what he is buying when given the chance, everything points to him being on the right path.
Anyways, not surprised. It's the same people spreading their pointless agenda.

Malito got a reaction from Fernando in 🇩🇪 Timo Werner
Deal agreed in principle is a long way from signed & sealed. Chelsea have had good negotiations with Leipzig and have come to an agreement. There has been no contact with Werner or His reps and the player supposedly favours a move to Liverpool who have unsettled the player but are unsure about the financial outlay. Bayern also hold an interest but are not keen at the prices required.
Chelsea have made an offer and done things properly but the ball remains firmly in Werner & Liverpool's court.
I hope not but I see this going the way of Chamberlain.
This one appears to have a long way to run.

If the Club don't want Him for the length of contract He's after then I personally have no issue wherever He winds up. He's entitled to seek out whatever deal He believes He's worth. Obviously there is a special place in Hell for Spuds & The Dippers so it would be better if it was somewhere other than The Scum from the Lane but I won't lose any sleep over it.
We need to aim much higher.
Let Him take His 5 goals and 4 assists a season to North London 😂.

the way the board seems to be going, my lists just depress me further, lolol
If we cave in and renew that rotter Willian for 3 years at a further £30m shit flush, I am going to lose my bloody mind
that will put the total (including the summer Marina turn down of £65m from Barca) quid burn at damn near £100m just on that fuckstick alone
it is utter madness

As much as We may want Him here Sancho is definitely not coming to Chelsea. He's too expensive for most Clubs in world football & whether We like it or not Chelsea are not in a position to put together a deal for the Kid.
Chelsea are unlikely to take up any buy back on Boga unless Lampard specifically expresses a desire for the player but instead they will negotiate a sell on fee.
Neither player are likely moving to Chelsea anytime soon.

Hey folks, first time poster. So go easy on Me
From the little info I have, Ziyech has very much been driven by Frank Lampard. Which is interesting because according to many the Head Coach doesn't have any say in who comes & who goes.
Sancho will definitely not be moving to Chelsea in the Summer and unlikely ever because the financials are astronomical and far greater than is being bandied about in the media.
The costs are far too great for most Clubs including Chelsea who operate from revenue generated in house and not Roman's Deep Pockets. Which has actually been the case for well over a decade now.
