He tells to the warden here "I can do without everything, but are you sure you can do without me?". I expect similar conversations with the board.

That is probably pretty close to reality :D Scary thing he actually looks a bit like Sarri

The show tells the story of a crime family in Napels so Napoli fans made bunch of videos and memes of Sarri using this TV character. Sarri and the actor also met once.

It is a good show if anyone is looking to watch a new series in these boring summer days.

At least he'll be well motivated to earn his bonuses given the cost of them over here. Wonder if he realises that yet!

Will have to get him to switch to a vape with oils.  I take mine to the game. Not been caught using it once.

Maurizio Sarri arrival on a two-year deal will likely see the departures of Alvaro Morata, David Luiz and Danny Drinkwater.
Willian and Davide Zappacosta will also have offers to leave Stamford Bridge. (Mirror) #CFC

At the same time the negotiations for Daniele Rugani with Chelsea, are proceeding well, Chelsea are trying in breaking through the wall of the €30m plus bonuses to meet the demands of Juventus. ( @AlfredoPedulla ) #CFC

Kostas Manolas is seriously considering accepting Chelsea offer . (Sportitalia) #CFC

Seems so strange that we're being linked with about 5 CB's this summer. Probably the 4th or 5th priority on the lists of all our needs. Unless we're targeting one from the top bracket like Boateng or Koulibaly I'd just assume we stick to what we have and spend that money elsewhere. A CB core of Azpi, Rüdiger, Christensen, Cahill, and a (hopefully) fit David Luiz is good enough.

If Sarri plays with a back 4 we don't need as many numbers there.

Manolas is top quality though and a steal in this market for 38 million Euros.

SOMEONE obviously doesn't think that our defenders will suit Sarris style and I want to think/hope that its Sarri that's deciding this and hes got some sort of plan.

Everyone laughed when Moses went on the RWB but that 1st season worked out great.

I don't know enough about his style to determine what skills our lads have that will work in it.

I give all our managers full support even if their ideas freak me out. I always presume they know what theyre doing. Sometimes i give them too much credit tho lol

Azpi isn't a cb, Cahill isn't a ball playing cb, David Luiz is heavily rumoured to be on his way out. That would leave us with just Rudiger and Christensen. A third ball playing cb would be a must.

Manolas and Rugani seem to be our main targets for the cb position but i don't expect us to buy them both. It's probably going to be 1 or the other.

Fully agree, I would assume Azpi will move to full back in a flat back 4. Take Luiz and Cahill out who are both more than expendable (and proven to be liabilities in past times in a back 4) and we suddenly look thin. Zouma could come back in but his biggest weakness is his ability on the ball.

For me, depending on Courtois' situation, we should be concentrating on the spine to our team this summer - a top class centre back option, central midfield partner to Kante, and a goal scorer.

Would say a CB, a nr 6 deep playmaker are priority. A third CM and an upgrade on the RW would be welcome to. Striker, maybe.

The striker position is a bit of a head scratcher for me. On the one hand i feel like Morata could improve. In a more attacking sytem he could be better but on the other hand what if he doesn't improve and the Morata we've seen this season is the one we get next season...

That would be a big problem. No matter how good we'd play if your striker is missing easy chances and falling to the floor you're not gonna win a lot of games.

The thing though there aren't really many top strikers available. Most of them are past their prime and would still cost a lot of money.

Or just dont want to join us! This is why we are looking at older ones who might want a few quid before retiring in couple of years.

I wouldn't mind that if they will give us 20+ goals for 2 or 3 years but i'd prefer an Icardi if  poss

It's extremely difficult. On one hand a top drawer centre back and deep lying play maker would hugely improve our team and the overall ability and quality of performances.

But at the end of the day we need to score goals and being able to replace the goals that Diego Costa scored in both title winning seasons is the most important requirement this season. We no longer have a Lampard type from midfield to guarantee 15-20 goals a season and whilst the likes of Hazard, Willian and Pedro will all contribute they have never shown they would be able to take the goal scoring burden like Salah for example did for Liverpool this year. I agree with you on everything with Morata and I'm also intrigued whether there would be more to come from someone like Batshuayi who is a natural goalscorer but lacks with his all round general play. However in a more offensive system, where chances are being created by others he may thrive as the person to get on the end of chances.

:P:P

I am genuinely starting to believe the absurd theory that this is all either a smokescreen or stupid rumours from the media and that Conte will stay.
