I thought Hazard's arrival would lead to a decrease in Mata's influence. How wrong was I... That was his fifth 9+/10 performance in a row. I don't recall any other Chelsea player having such a superb run. Malouda had a fabulous run under Ancelotti for a while, and Lampard had a massive run under Scolari, but neither came close to what he is doing now. How is he not in the Spain squad? Not that I'm complaining.

You just have to admire his cool, calm and composed reaction after that prick Walker needlessly whacked the ball straight at him. Other players would probably have retaliated in negative manner but he didn't and got his revenge at the end!

Speaking of Walker, what an absolute retard he is. I've seen defenders get in trouble by trying to keep the ball in the way he did, but who does that while tussling for the ball with another player?

Cahill did the same thing in the second half and Defoe took the ball away from him. Thankfully, nothing fruitful happened for Spurs then. And yeah, can never understand why defenders do that!

A masterclass yesterday from the Spanish genius. I always believed him a better player than Silva and Cazorla, it's a bit of an irrelevant point anyway, all 3 are terrific footballers and it's great to see them play each week. Full credit though to Mata, if he was overshadowed earlier in the season by the new arrivals he certainly isn't overshadowed anymore, Mata, Oscar and Hazard are 3 great players, seeing the 3 of them play together really is a joy.

Juan has really taken his opportunity. WORLD CLASS!

In the first 3 games, we did not faced any special/man marking, Hazard was just incredible (not that Mata wasnt playing well). In the middle of EPL, Oscar decided to do his own show against Juve. In the last 2-3 games, Mata was the one with most space and he just schooled everyone. AMAZING!

Yup, I think it's taken a big burden off his shoulders and he can now play with less pressure, which is amazing, instead of being relied on to do everything...
