  1. Un fucking real. Simply cannot defend set pieces. What do we do all week in training?
  2. Arse leaving LOADS of little pockets in between their midfield and defense that we’re exploiting. Do we have the quality in attack to make them pay, though…
  3. Neto may not have done anything to cause danger in front of goal but he at least stretched their left side and made them respect his pace and ability to burst past. On the other side the lack of any natural winger who could create was glaring. Neither Hato nor current form Palmer is going to get the ball out there and beat defenders dribbling. Sadly, the options there are shite. Garnacho ain’t gonna do it either.
  4. Few solid individual defensive performances I thought. Caicedo, Hato, and Trev were all good in 1v1 duels.
  5. João Pedro as the lone striker up against THIS CB pairing was always a dumb idea. He can’t handle them.
  6. It’s not just that Arse are stronger physically than us. They can also pass rings around us too. If it were one or the other we’d have some hope.
  7. We seriously look terrified. This team is a joke.
  8. Arse have completely flipped the roles of these two clubs from previous eras. They are now the men and we’re the boys. They just straight up don’t respect us at all and know we can’t do anything to them. Like a big brother toying with the little brother. Embarrassing how we’ve allowed this to happen.
  9. Our PL season is more or less over unless we win today in my mind with results elsewhere.
  10. Really have no clue what to expect here. Just going to assume it’ll be much like the last match where we can’t break them down and they win it 1-0 from a corner or something.
  11. We will almost 100% not be getting a new GK so we can put that to bed. I’d be stunned if we get another CF either with Emegha and maybe even Jackson returning. I maintain that we don’t need much. Or perhaps to better put it, we don’t have THAT many glaring holes in the squad. It’s just that the few we do have are costing us big time. For me we badly need a dominant CB, a top class LW, and another high quality body in CM if Lavia gets injured once again. We don’t need a total rebuild or major surgery like we did a couple of years ago.
  12. True. Personnel wise we won’t need too much in the summer, we just need to be smart and not blow huge money on super risky signings like fucking Gittens. Like United, we should actually consider targeting some of the best players within the PL who don’t play for the top teams like they did with Mbuemo and Cunha. Players who wouldn’t care about UCL football and would jump at the shlt to step up to a huge club.
  13. People need to get used to the idea that this summer is going to be brutal in terms of transfers. We already weren’t shopping in the top bracket of players under this ownership but it’ll be even more so now. We will probably have to be purely sell to buy for the foreseeable future and also will be forced to sell some key players we will probably be very angry about.
  14. The players partying and relaxing for a few days shouldn’t fucking matter against Burnley at home. We created a dozen chances good enough to win that game and they choked or scuffed their lines. If we had sleepwalked through that with zombieball and our players still looked hung over that’s one thing. Then you could say the mini holiday was a factor. That’s not the case over the 90 minutes where we should’ve scored a bunch on guilt edged chances. The Palmer we saw at his best would be having a 20 PL goal season from open play in this current team. The fact that he is still miles off that level is killing us. Likewise Estevão being constantly in and out of the squad with injuries or personal matters. Feels like we haven’t seen a run of games with him, João Pedro and Palmer together more than like a couple of times.
