  1. PSG play in a piss easy league compared to us, though. And their league season has been very poor by their standards so it may have had side effects for them. They weren’t impressive in the UCL either until they played us. They just have so many outrageously good attacking talents that they can still kill anyone even if not at their best.
  2. I think the only reason they’ll be clinging to as a justification not to sack him is one of the excuses he used in the presser just now. That the CWC has massively affected the squad as the season has gone on. Unless things get so incredibly toxic from here they’ll stick with him. Problem with this thinking of course is that this is a World Cup summer. So any idea that this squad will be refreshed and rested after a nice long summer break and can then show their true level next season is idiotic if that’s what they’re thinking.
  3. If these guys have the audacity to appoint O’Neil or any other total amateur again after Rosenior then fans need to show up to the Bridge with pitchforks and physically remove them.
  4. Sack him. And Sanchez should never play for this club again. I’d rather have a academy kid in goal the rest of the way.
  5. A bunch of them are probably already working behind the scenes to engineer moves away. Lots of them probably couldn’t give a toss about us getting into the UCL again.
  6. Players can’t be bothered to show an ounce of fight despite being given lifeline after lifeline with those teams around us being so inconsistent. Only way you can really explain that is they’ve given up on the manager. They aren’t buying what he’s selling because they don’t respect him. They probably weren’t enjoying themselves at the end of Maresca’s time so gave this new guy a chance initially and it looked semi-decent at first. But now that things have gotten tougher everyone realizes he’s out of his depth li,e we all knew he would be.
  7. Guys, surely passing the ball slowly side to side 600 times in front of a parked bus is going to work eventually! Right?!
  8. And the ONLY way to rescue this club will be to get in an established, proven manager who commands instant respect AND to sign a few players who are immediate upgrades on some of these clowns. Both things that go completely against what this shit show of an ownership group are about.
  9. A single straight pass right through the middle AGAIN. And again out of fucking NOTHING. Fofana is a disaster of a defender. Sell his ass ASAP in the summer.
  10. I’m convinced looking at this horrendous performance so far that these jokers don’t want to get UCL football. We’re giving the ball away at the back at will. This is fucking shocking.
  11. And just as I mention Fofana, Sanchez one ups him.
  12. Fofana may genuinely be one of the dumbest footballers around. Does so many mindless things under no real pressure often times.
  13. Could never in a million years see him going to Saudi at his age. Even less so with the current events in the Middle East. For me if he goes it’s either PSG or Madrid. I don’t know if this ownership will want to incur even more vitriol from the fan base by selling a very popular player to a direct rival like City. Selling players we no longer rated or needed like Noni is one thing. Selling someone who has been one of our best players this season (whether people rate him or not) is another.
  14. We will never be able to lure away or attract a world class manager who is already at a big club to come here with these owners but we MIGHT be able to convince a top manager who is at a decent sized club and ready for the next step up in their career. For example, if Villa choke and finish outside of the UCL places I wonder if Emery would be open to coming here?
  15. What I mean is less about transfers and more about having an authoritative manager who is the undisputed boss of the footballing side of things. No meddling from the owners, no meddling with the medical department, no being told that they must play certain players to “maintain their value,” etc. Basically, we need a serious manager but most importantly we need that manager to be able to do his job without interference. Maresca seemed to earn the respect and buy-in from the squad and was well on his way to building something. Then the owners once again undermined him with stupid summer signings and interfering with his job.
