All this money spent since the takeover and we are still just as desperate for a killer #9 three years into the project. Haven’t had a beast of a striker who strikes fear into defenders since Diego Costa almost a fucking decade ago. Just let that sink in. A club of Chelsea’s stature and with our resources and we have 4 strikers on our books if you include Jackson who are miles and miles away from being a 20 goal per season guys. How does that situation improve? None of these look like they even have the potential to become that!

There is just WAY too much variance in levels with our players. Some days some of them can look awesome and others they can look like they’ve never seen the pitch together before. What’s most depressing is that not a SINGLE ONE of our summer buys is looking genuinely good this season. Delap and Pedro who were relatively “cheap” by today’s standards and were looking like super smart buys during the CWC now look like the midtable strikers they always had been. Short of Palmer suddenly clicking back into his top form I don’t see what we do to help ourselves. And he looked super rusty in these two appearances so far which is understandable.

So many players who looked super promising very early on or in the summer now look miles off Chelsea quality. Just like last December when Jackson and Palmer’s form fell off a cliff. We were in position to genuinely push on and put pressure on Arse. With our last 2 fixtures we should be doing exactly what City are doing and look where they are now after an Arse slip up. Instead, we have been left in the dust and will get nowhere near them. Our absolute ceiling is 4th with Maresca and these players. And that’s if everyone else around us slips up nonstop like we do.

We play 2 of the biggest and best sides in the world and physically dominate. Then we play Leeds and Bournemouth who have a fraction of our quality and look embarrassing and shockingly poor. I give up. We were miles ahead of Villa at one point and they’ve now shot past us and left us in the dust. Unforgivable collapse once again under this manager.

Never mind scoring, we don’t even look like testing the keeper. What has happened to us in the span of a week?

Shockingly terrible. Again. These players look absolutely clueless and are collapsing in December again. A struggling Bournemouth are running us ragged and completely containing us with minimal effort at the other end.

We’re getting completely dominated in the middle of the pitch and they’re even missing players in that area. Embarrassing.

We again look totally rattled by a small team being aggressive and assertive.

He pulled his fucking shoulder out of his socket! That should be a red!

Also, 2 straight games where our players are slipping all over the place.

They’re strolling effortlessly right into that Caicedo area. Very worrying.

We’ve suddenly reverted to the a solute calamitous defense we saw early on in the season. wtf is going on?!

Must win game. Have to show that the Leeds game was a blip and that the effort in that performance was unacceptable. Fail to win and I fear we’re in for another season like last one where the battle for 4th goes down to the final day of the season.

This game like so many other earlier this season is why we won’t finish within 10 points of Arsenal and probably City as well. We are shockingly terrible at handling these sorts of teams. We repeatedly turn up as if they’re going to lay down and turn over for us. We stroll about like it’s a training session whilst the opponent treats the game like it’s for a trophy.
