BlueLion. 21,491
It was definitely called the Umbro Stand at one point, but the fans insisted it be changed back... I believe it was called the Umbro Shed End South for a season or something like that.
Liquidator 5,176
So if we can apparently fill a 60k seat stadium each week then why is it that it takes over a month to sell Season Tickets for one of the best teams in the world?
sully 7
im in two minds about a new ground,on one hand,we do need a bigger stadium because we need to generate our own revenue, and not to rely on RA for transfers, and stop these people saying "oh you have bought the title",but on the other hand i dont want to go back to being so far away from the pitch,we lose the atmosfere(spelt wrong i know),so the jury is still out. Term-X 7,891
bad news in my opinion if we dont plan to move then why do it .Did you not read the article?………While there are no plans to move and no discussions over any potential sites, buying back the freehold removes a potential hurdle should a suitable site become available in the future. With a new stadium in the future being inevitable, this is great news for the club and it’s identity. Moving to a new ground in 2020 and renaming the club 'London FC' is the reality, if the pitch owners remain.

strong centreback 157
no i didn't to be honest i just watched the video , i dont want to move so i dont see this as a good thing .Do you want to elaborate on that view point?Moving to a new ground is inevitable and is needed for the club to take the last step to becoming what is considered a major club, all the great clubs have big stadiums or at least the biggest in their leagues, the club have made the kind of promises that a fan would want.Look at the big picture we are not the club we once were, we dont need to do a whipround in the stands train to aways to help save the club from the developers, the cpo in the current climate are now defunct it is no longer needed. For all you know we could be getting a Chelsea version of the Bernabeu or Allianz arena. The Emirates 'concrete bowl' isn’t the only stadium type you know..
