Say what you say about Sherwood but the fact remains he's the Spurs manager with the highest PL win% in the history of their whole club and the way he was treated was a disgrace. The board and the players never even gave him a chance.

Will probably do well somewhere else. His football is not so pleasing to watch but at least with Tottenham he got the results and also promoted youth players so I'm sure there's some club in the PL willing to try their luck with him. West Ham maybe after they've sacked Big Sam?

Put it this way, he's definitely in for a new gig before Moyes..

If Sherwood's name ended in a vowel then he wouldn't have been sacked. Spurs have this obsession with hiring non-British managers, ignoring the fact that their the overwhelming majority of their foreign appointments of late (Santini, Ramos, Villas-Boas) have been completely useless. There's nobody else a club like Spurs can hope to attract who will actually do significantly better than Sherwood did this season (bear in mind he also did not make any signings and used Villas-Boas' donkeys throughout), so basically he has lost his job because he isn't a sophisticated continental 3-4-3 playing tactics wanker. It's discrimination.

Didn't Ramos win them their only trophy in whatever-the-fuck-long-it-is-now?

A League Cup is surely outweighed by Ramos' performance in the 2008-09 season, where Spurs won two from their first twelve matches and were bottom of the Premier League until he was sacked. If he had held onto the job for a few more months they probably would have went down.

Well there's no way anyone can say that with any certainty, is there?

That maybe true but not sure if some of his words and actions really helped his cause along the way. Didn't help himself really. And as for Sherwood having the highest PL win % in history, that can be somewhat misleading. Yes, the % is high but if you look closer, he only really got the results against the smaller sides and got horribly found out in more ways than one in the big defeats to us, City, Liverpool. and somewhat narrower margin to Arsenal (can even throw in Benfica into the equation). If anything, he just let the team a tad more loose (against smaller teams) than they were under AVB but still rubbish against the bigger sides, a level and teams that they want to be at and beat.
