.They have crept up quietly though.Still under the rader and no pressure really.Loose it they didn't expect to win it anyway so no biggie ...win bloody good achievement for them...I really hope not lol.
Though they do have 1 game in hand whereas City have the 3.. still .ahhhh

Neither City nor Arsenal were that great.

Pool ok, but against Moyes poor house.

What worries me is we play s*it. The 1-0 against City for the PRL was a good performence, then the 3-0 against Newcastle but that seems due to Newcastle being too weak imho. The rest since were if not fails, certainly unglorious affairs.

If it's not us then I hope City win it. They already have a great squad and can't really get much better. Both Liverpool and Arse can use winning the league as a huge platform to attract world class players and improve massively. Like us, Arse are only 2-3 signings away from being a truly elite side. Liverpool can use Suarez, Sturridge, and their style of football to attract top class players now that they'll have CL football. They need quite a few signings as their squad depth is pretty poor.

We'd never hear the end of it if those two won the league. Rodgers would be seen as the new Messiah. I can see them pulling a United next season, though, where they go from a great season to finishing outside of the top 4 the following one. If United wise up and get a worthy manager and reinforce their squad I think they force Liverpool back out of the top 4.

I'd be surprised if Man U get a new Manager but I cant see them throwing money at Moyes to spend.I doubt it make much difference as he is just out of depth. This whole Fergie took a while blah doesnt really work. They look like a completely different team..what a shame

Yeah agree I'd defiantly rather City..and I wish we had the strike force Liverpool do!

I kind of hope we go out of the CL this week. We ain't winning it so no use piling on more matches.

If we can lose to Villa then we can lose to any of the other shit sides we have left. We need 100% of our focus on the league like City and Liverpool.

It´s not a matter of winning it, it´s about money. The longer Chelsea stays, more money for the club.

To win the PL is peanuts in comparison to last four in the CL.

True, but it's not the supporters' job to worry about how much money the club is making. I'd rather us lose a bit of money by going out if it means we have a better shot at the most important trophy. It's not like we're a club in dire need of cash.

If we advance, with our luck we'll draw one of the Madrid sides or Bayern and get thrashed without Matic in there and with our terrible strike force.

You prefer City for economic reasons ?

Are they not capable of big signings too ?

On football grounds besides CFC I like Liverpool but I know they are not quite there and Arsenal are not the usual euro-fall guys, even though they were unlucky against Munich (to go down so easily).

MU reminds me of Frank O' Farrel days. They even named a race horse Frank O' Farrel those days, which rather surprised me because the horse racing authority frowns on mickey type names given to the horses.

As Jose says, Chelsea is not favored to win the PL. As for the most important trophy, to some the PL is not even close to the CL.

I also would not worry about Chelsea being thrashed by Bayern or Real. We might not beat them, but certainly Chelsea can hold their own. If shitty Arsenal managed to get close with Bayern, I believe Chelsea can even knock them out. Personally, I was not impressed with Bayern at all.

Yeah, I wasn't blown away by Bayern either. You could tell that they had another gear or two to go up through, though. They'd be more up for a tie against us with the whole Pep/Mourinho rivalry and the recent history between our clubs.

Real Madrid would spank us I think.

I was impressed the way Barcelona kicked City out of the pitch even though Barcelona are as we know struggling in the primera and they seem to have lost the title.

Arsenal v. Bayern we had exactly the same type of incident but Arsenal was putting up a fight.

I don't consider any a 100% loss probability, but certainly with a performence like Albion or Basel it's going to be 0-6, 0-6.

I would never underestimate Jose in these games. His experience is immense. I just feel, Chelsea does have a chance against anybody, but they must show up from the first minute.

Also, do not forget, FFP is on. The more money Chelsea makes in the CL, the better players they can buy. If they get knocked out now or in the next round, Jose will be forced to sell some players & I would not want to see Courtois, Luiz or Lukaku out of the team.
