Chelsea said in a statement: "Chelsea can confirm that yesterday it made a written offer to Manchester United for the transfer of Wayne Rooney. Although the terms of the offer are confidential, for the avoidance of doubt and contrary to what is apparently being briefed to press in Sydney, the proposed purchase price does not include the transfer or loan of any player from Chelsea to Manchester United."

Shows how important it was having SaF as manager. Just this week they've lost out on 3 top targets: Strootman, Thiago, and I guess you could say Fibreglass.

Now with this 'stunt' they've completely embarrassed themselves.

Rooney will leave, Moyes will be sacked within 2 seasons. The United ship is sinking.

Fun.

Now rooney knows that we really want him.

Make it happen.

Push for the transfer request.

It's isn't needed anymore to push now that Rooney knows we moved for him.

Let him make some internal pressure over there. If we bid again, they will wait for the higher fee. But if we stay calm, may be will we get him for the present one

I've just text my mate a United fan, and it said "Gullible cunts"

My cousin brother(Utd fan) texted me earlier saying "10+Mata, that sounds about right". I just texted him back the club's response with "We rate Rooney at just 10M, now that sounds about right"

This warranted a new thread due to impending meltdown related to the rooney transfer saga..

Chelsea: 'The terms of [Rooney] offer are confidential but for avoidance of doubt ... didn't include transfer or loan of any CFC players'

5:27 PM - 17 Jul 2013

This should go to the headline/breaking news section.Mods do the needful...

No need for new threads, people. Please keep the discussion here.

He is bound to have read the press that we have bid. IF he really wants to come as the press report he probably thought to himself "looks like i could get my move to chelsea." Sees Utd reject bid, gets a bit pissed off, slaps in TR and says "i want out." The TR is what needs to come next, but he loses tonnes in loyalty

As I said-Rooney need to push for the transfer request... not cfc...

At least we can be sure that we are looking for a new striker.
