You just got to love this teamThing is, we have a good striker in Lukaku. Lukaku just started playing as a target man. he's going to be a top target man but technically, he wil never be as good of a passer/dribbiler like Rooney. Rooney is just more suited for us right now. immediate success guarenteed. Lukaku still has years to develop.
JayC 171
Exactly what I'm fearing. Bad for us either way.Bet you he ends up staying after all of this shit. He'll score loads and the idiot United fans will scream and sing his name like he never asked to leave TWICE.I don't think you'll find too many of us screaming his name. If he was to stay and score goals for us, we'd simply be using him just for that. Any genuine appreciation for him has gone.I read a topic (poll too) on a United forum recently asking opinions, and of course - stay or go? It was about 70/30 in favour of him leaving. We are not idiots.

We are not idiots.Highly knowledgable fans like yourself and those who visit football forums won't be cheering him obviously, but thousands and thousands of sheep who are just casual fans and only care about what goes on on the pitch will still love him if he stays. If Rooney stays and says he never tried to leave in the first place as a PR stunt, most of your fans will sweep it under the rug as long he's producing. Just like the last time he did it.

Clued up fans will never buy the lies.
Special Juan 28,187
Champions of Europe @KingsRoadTweets 2m Rumours circulating that a fee of £35m has been agreed between #CFC and #MUFC for Rooney. Could be nothing (as usual), though
bushman 2,043
So much was written about Rooney, yet still he is not at Chelsea.Hopefully, he will come by the end of this month. There is no doubt, Rooney had enough of United, I feel.At Chelsea, he will be much better off & with him on board, Chelsea are much stronger up front. The Skipper 20,609
For a want away player, not really!! 30 should have been the limit!!We're talking about a team that don't want to sell to their rivals to begin with though so of course prices will be slightly higher, which is why I think £35m is fair. ulsterchelsea 3,221
Dont buy this rumour for 1 minute as there Is no credibility just someone on twitter speculating. Twitter rumours are like wildfire how quickly they spread. People dont take the time to examine if there any truth in it they just RT. BUT if it was true I think £35 mill is fair IF the deal Was done quickly , no delays till Sep 1st, no waiting for them to sign someone else! Hutcho 8,443
They don't want to sell. And don't have to so they really are in the driving seat so can ask for like 35 mil. No need to accept anything much lower.
