I don´t think it´s about money here. A 30 or 35m makes no difference. Rooney himself will decide the outcome by submitting the transfer. By the end of this week, decision will be made, I feel.

Just a hypothetical situation. On Monday, Manures vs Chelsea. The game´s tied at 75th minute. Rooney comes on & pops one in on 82nd minute, Chelsea wins 2:1 & the crowd is shocked, Moyes is dumbfounded... :getin:

imo, I would offer a final of £35m+ £5m add-on and make it into a take it or leave it offer. The £5m will be activated if we win CL/he score more than 25 goals...etc

I just cant see utd selling him to us.. I think they would rather have him as a angry sub! Man utd have never sold good players to PL rivals in the past years!

He already told fergie he wants to leave dont think a transfer request will change anything they just dont want to sell him!

I don't rate Rooney in the slightest, it's almost like he's a burned out player and he's going to get worse as time goes by. Splashing that much cash like that doesn't seem a wise move. Moyes can't sell a big name like that, it would be too much to handle, regardless of some United fans wanting him gone already.

I'm going to admit I really want another striker, but not Rooney, however if the deal goes through then whatever, I'm not going to cry about it I'll just look on the positive side that we have a striker.

I think if Roo wants to go it'll be here he wants. Utd can want to sell him abroad all they want but cant see him wanting that and dont see him fancying Ie arse either. Truth is tho if utd are sincere in their determination to keep Rooney then nothing he or We do will matter because a transfer request is just that, a request. Noone wants an unhappy player but they dont want to strengthen a rival just to cash in either.

Whether he is sold or not, only time will tell. To say, Rooney is not a quality player is just laughable. At 27 year old, he is at the peak of his career. If properly handled & Jose knows how, Rooney could make the difference in this season, I feel.

BBC reporting that the new bid was £25m upfront and £5m add-ons.

Reckon £30m + add-ons will do the trick once Rooney has submitted a transfer request.
