Carlo's job safe?

I personally don't want Ancelotti to be sacked, but with the current situation (and let's remember Scolari got sacked for a lot less)-i can't see Ancelotti remaining at Chelsea.

It's obvious he has no control over the team like he used to,or should have.If he did he would of most certainly challenged the Chelsea board over the disgraceful sacking of Ray Wilkins as any manager worthy of his No2 would.

People notice how isolated Carlo feels in the dugout?.I'd like to see Paulo Maldini installed as Carlo's No2.they worked together at Milan and i'm sure they would form a great alliance at Chelsea.

Either that or do the decent thing and send Gourlay on a grovelling mission to bring back Wilkins as it's because of Gourlay that we are in this mess.

I came on here very depressed ,,but this thread has lifted my spirits ..I too want Carlo to stay . He has suffered some cruel blows at the hand of Lady

Luck. WE must continue to back him . I dont usually believe The Mirror ,but for once hope they are correct .

Thanks to the posters above for lifting my spirits .....a little ....

I couldn't believe it after the game yesterday I read on facebook pages devoted to gettiing rid of Carlo. Some people have short memories. OK i've only been supporting Chelsea for nearly 2 years, but I do know that we've had at least 6 managers in less than 7 years, that getting rid of Carlo and bringing somebody else in would be very unsettling for the club, particularly at this point of the season.

If we get rid of Carlo and hire whoever, that mean since we fired Jose we've had more managers then trophies..that aint right!! Unless we win something this season that is but even then be the same amount..

All the Chelsea groups on facebook are littered with calls from people asking for Carlo to be sacked.

One is forgiven for ignoring these comments as they're mostly posted from people overseas and who've never set foot inside Stamford Bridge!.

Ranieri, Grant & Scolari were all sacked for less, I have to agree with FB in the fact I feel he is a 'yes man' & winning the double last season has saved his skin. Only CL qualification will stop him from getting the tin tack.

His management hasn't inspired me with confidence this season as he has failed to motivate the players, change losing or drawing games into points with changes from the bench, well certainly not in the way Mourinho used too.

It's also difficult to assess as we don't actually know who is managing things? Letting the likes of Sturridge & Kakuta go out on loan poses more questions as these 2 as well MacEachran should of been used to drop the senior players who are simply not performing, but as I say who is making the decisions?

Ancelotti is not being helped by the players form but I'm pretty sure once the right formula is found for the world class Torres is found ( creative midfielder amongst other things) we will be a force once again. Luiz looks a real star also & he will no doubt aid Ancelotti's cause.

Although I wonder what peeps opinions will be like on here if we go out to Copenhagen?

I thought it was about as safe as a ripped condom, but if this is true then i'm glad Abramovich is a man with faith rather than a Real Madrid board. I have a lot of faith in Ancelotti, he's proved he can be a great manager just look at last season and the begining of this season, he just needs time to rebuild.

At the moment I'm fully behind Ancelotti, if we drop out against Copenhagen I'd let him go though

Right, Carlo is still here and hasn't been sacked yet. But we will know MUCH more after the Copenhagen games which will not be easy, or the following UCL games. It is more than just clear Carlo is here to win the UCL and I am worried what is going to happen in a few weeks or months. If he gets really sacked, I think we would struggle to find a PROPER manager (proper means somebody who would care about Chelsea FC, not about money), as they are all watching what a bad moment and crisis means at CFC.
