Why would we go to a club who by all accounts are adamant they dont want to sell their player and wont discuss it unless the buy out clause is met and they are then forced to, and tell them to lower their asking price? Does that not sound bizarre to anyone else?

Not at all. Didnt Aguero have a buyout clause of 62m two years ago? Doesn't mean we have to pay that. The club is trying to negotiate a transfer fee based on player potential like they do with any other player. Chelsea is taking the right approach here. We are asking them to negotiate with us.

where was i when we successfully negotiated agueros transfer? That makes no sense fella! We dont HAVE to pay the buy out clause but we cant prance up to another club who have claimed several times they dont want to sell (be that a ploy or not) and tell them to lower their asking price when, in fact, there isnt one to be lowered!
