I have the top one, its a great phone, has a shortage of phone memory and a lot of apps cannot be transfered to SD card without jailbreaking... I have used App 2 SD etc but it only helps a bit... Other than that its a great phone considering its a quarter the price of the newer ones etc... I haven't used the second one so don't really know, a few of my mates have htc's and they seem to like them, if i were you i would go through and compare the specs and choose the one that best suits you...

You don't get thrown out of anything in the Australian educational system for not having high grades, unless you take an accelerated/extension subject; as far as I know only 5 subjects in NSW run accelerated programs:

Music

History

Information Processing & Technology (basically, computing studies)

English

Maths

And then you can do Uni accredited courses at tertiary education centres (NOT universities) which can be used as units of credit when/if you go to uni, thus speeding up your graduation process, and there's a huge range of subjects you can do that in.
