We have got Mata, Schurrle, Willian and De Bruyne to play out wide and for whatever reason, Mourinho decided to play Ramires on the RW. Missed his energy and physicality in midfield in the first half and was crucial in our second half performance turnaround when he got moved to the middle.

One tackle he made second half made an echo around the ground and it was made midway in their half and when he burst through only to be taken down by Vertonghen (who should have been sent off nobody was catching Rammy) ,it was all a contrast to our DM? in the first half who just sat deep and invited Spurs pressure .

Rammy worked in tandem with Frank and we dominated and reversed the trend of the first half.

It was a really bad decision, one that goes against everything Jose has said about us becoming a different team and using the quality we have in the positions behind the striker. Jose has criticised how we played in the last few seasons, he has said we will become a different team that will take the initiative, and here he is playing a reactive team that had our best CM playing out wide when a) we desperately needed him in midfield and b ) we have Schurle/Willian/Mata/KDB in the squad.

It was a truly awful decision, and a cowardly one in my honest opinion. I'm backing Jose and want him to succeed but Ramires out wide shouldn't be an option now, not after what he has said and the options we have.

Although we got a positive result in the end on Saturday and Mourinho changed things around HT albeit because we were trailing, am surprised to see that there is hardly any outrage or criticism towards Mourinho for playing Ramires at RW especially when RDM and even Benitez got stick in the past for doing that..

And RDM and Benitez had the excuse that they didn't have quality options in the squad. There is no excuse for Ramires on the right now, not when we have 100m+ worth of wingers and #10s in the squad.

It was a rubbish decision, and here's hoping that's the last time we see it.
