I do think he is coming for a medical at Chelsea becasue AVB wanted Perreira (Who is a Full Back) but they could not agree a fee, so they made a bid for VDW who also is a Full Back! :blue scalf:

Unless AVB is going to do what I said in 2008 and play Bosingwa as a winger (Andy Gray gave me the idea when he could only say 'Boswinger' when commentating) then there is no chance of vdW joining.

Why? Bosingwa is 29, Ferreira is 32 and Ivanovic is better as a centre back. Van Der Wiel is only 23 and is very talented, Would be perfect for our right back position.

Because this kid is going to be our next RB, I believe. He has all the qualities to be a first team player for Chelsea.

I have to say 32 million euros is a LOT of money for a player who is overrated and we don't even need! Bosingwa, Ivanovic and even Ferreira are perfectly capable of playing there!

Even with the money Arsenal seem to have couped, Wenger won't sign him, so he might as well stay at Ajax
