A win for Maresca would elevate him in an instant. Edited July 8 by LAM09

Who knew that Bayern wouldn't win their group either. 🙂 Strike and Vesper 1

With the Ballon d'Or and a significant trophy on the line, Dembele is the one (I was going to mention him) who could make the difference.
Vesper 30,184
Wifey (who is into social media FAR more than I am) said that Barca, Pool, and even Arse (who have never won any major top international trophy) fans are all chatting shit that all 3 of those teams, plus Real, PSG, Bayern, and Citeh (lol they had their chance and lost to the headchoppers) would ALL kick the shit out of us in any one game final. Same for (and THIS is a REAL JOKE) Manure fans saying that! (thsoe gits could not even beat SPUDS in their final, ffs) ALL are saying that if we somehow win it all then it is the most illegitimate major trophy win ever. mkh 591
Maresca on making “fat stacks” of money in this tournament : “I don’t prepare games thinking if we win, we have more money. We have a clear idea about where this squad can be improved for next season, and hopefully that can happen” 👀 (@kierangill_DM) Asked Joao Pedro about De Zerbi's influence on his transfer: "I think De Zerbi and Maresca are similar so it makes it easy for me to adapt the way I play. It is easy to understand how he wants me to play." Strike and Fernando 1

He also had fucked his hamstring at Southampton when he went there - which seems to be a reoccurring issue for him.
TheHulk 2,457
Great work to get to the final but now comes the real test. Hopefully it will be against Madrid in final. Edited July 9 by TheHulk
Pizy 18,918
Have to agree with everyone else. As insane as it is to utter this sentence, I’d much rather play Madrid in the final. If Caicedo is good to go I think we have the advantage in midfield and as dangerous as their attacking players are we can get at their defense. PSG I can’t see us beating in the form they’re in. NikkiCFC 8,324
Plan for a season was top4 and to win a trophy. Both accomplished ✅️ ✅️ Now we are among 2 best teams on planet. Maybe World Champions in a couple of days. Hopefully puts to bed heavy criticism of owners and Maresca. We are ahead of schedule!
nyikolajevics 2,700
I didn't even notice but Essugo was excluded Today, Maresca said he "should be ok for start of the season". Worst case scenario: Essugo, Lavia and Caicedo all out for couple of weeks, would be quite a blow..

I just asked Copilot if the champions qualify for 2029 and in its response it quoted the post I just made. 😞 🔍 A discussion on a Chelsea fan forum even questioned whether the 2029 winners would qualify automatically, with one user stating they heard on a podcast that they do not.
