When he gave that on-pitch team talk yesterday after the game went into extra time it clearly had a positive impact. Seems like a great character to have in the squad but ability-wise will never be a world class CB. Hopefully can continue to be such a reliable influence on the team for years to come regardless of playing time Vesper and Fernando

Badiashile can at least raise his level at times. If we're talking defenders, Gusto on a bad day can be far worse. Tosin is not useless, but he has severe limitations. Switching off and also very passive with his defending. He's a squad player that shouldn't be called upon unless there's absolutely no other option. To think Maresca decided to sub off the best performing CB of the game to bring this guy on is just levels of insanity. calculatingInfinity 1,480
I honestly think he is on level with Sarr and Disasi. But some of the older ones you mentioned... Yeah certainly worse. Michael Hector lmao Fernando
OneMoSalah 8,922
Yep horrendous player. Squad player at best. And even then, you’d rather Chalobah, Badiashile, Fofana ahead of him in pecking order for a squad place. Never seen a CB that tall who is afraid of attacking the ball or physically engaging his opposite number. Absolutely wank. Sort of surprised that he didn't get subbed on for the last 10-
