Reality is , we won our last CL and PL with a back 3. It’s not my favourite but it’s ideal for a weaker squad with less technical players.

surely you’d play Nkunku tho ??

Back three is only good if we have good wingbacks, which we don't. In reality we will be playing a back 5, and the players trying to be wingbacks are not good at defending.

A bit harsh on our wingbacks. In my opinion they are all quality, as are many of our players individually. That is the main reason a lot of people are starting to turn on Poch. Our good team performances are sporadic, but we have good players. Injuries don't help, but I bet most of our senior players will kill it for different teams. With the exception of city and pool our squad is as good as anyone's in England. The squad need confidence and being berated after every mistake doesn't help. In the past we were spoiled with squads full of "mentality monsters". As a fanbase we need to help the lads grow together and believe in themselves and in each other.

Before the first game, things seemed to become better. Frustrating game against Villa, followed by two horror shows..

This one doesn’t look good either, hope Villa will be short fighting with their own problems.
