Good win and glad to see the team stick together after the week they’ve had. If they work this hard in each game, I’m okay with results not adding up. I really didn’t mind the games we dropped points at the start of the season where we were playing well.

It’s funny that Belle Silva was posting about making changes. The first change should have been Silva dropped. He needs to be brought in only if needed for a while. He can’t play week in week out anymore.

Term world class thrown about far too often. Particularly considering it is like the 3rd good game of the season for Enzo. He really needs to do it every week in that position. Thats the challenge.

Has the skillset to grab a hold of the game by the scruff of the neck. But hasn’t done it enough this season.

Great win, beautiful goals; fans and players can take the moment to enjoy.

But we should not get carried away. It looked like we turned a corner so often the past 2 years and the team always regressed afterwards.

Honestly it might have to do with attitude. Look at those OTT celebrations. The lads were strutting around like the avengers after those goals. As if they had not got hammered by shit teams and missed tons of easy chances in the process. Esp Enzo and Nic with their cringe grand gestures. They will probably start believing their own hype again instead of keeping their heads down and continuing to work hard

I know what you're saying has truth to it but let them enjoy the moment. They are young players finding their way in their careers and in life.. they can enjoy a good moment but yea.. they need to keep their heads down and build on these kind of performances.

Ofc they do but there is a clear lack of humility and discipline in this generation of players. It can be compensated in a stable environment in a club with a clear identity and a competent coaching team. But whenver there is disarray the players motivation tends to blow hot and cold. Same with our national team atm and other clubs in transition. Former player generations were better at concentrating on their game and taking responsibility themselves.

anyway a more tactical explanation approach of our sudden performance hike may be that the absence of silva allowed us to push higher up the field and choke villas midfield. Also Jackson and Madueke ran their lungs out. It also seemed that the  idea to deploy palmer as false 9 and Jackson on the wing confused villa defenders in the first half. The cbs  withdrew expecting deep runs from Nicos which allowed Palmer and Gallagher more space between the lines indirectly resulting in the first goal

What else do you expect?   These aren't players with 150-200 games under their belt and who know how to deal with these situations.

Between Jackson, Madueke, Palmer, Mudryk, Gusto, Enzo, Caicedo....they've probably played like 50 solid league games before moving to Chelsea.

Just happy to see them get a win away from home and actually score 3 goals in the process.

Referees aside, we were never going to beat Liverpool at Anfield and let's be honest, if you let Wolves get into dangerous positions over and over and you let them run at you for fun, Neto & Cunha will eventually create enough to score a few goals...
