The club has no idea how to adress anything, just throwing cash to see what sticks and despite 1b spent, no actual quality in this team bar Thiago, Enzo, Chilwell and James. Jury is out on Nkunku who is injured atm. Jackson and Colwill are nice talents also. Bar that everyone else is subpar and needs to step up big big time, including Caicedo and soon to start Lavia.

But with GK like that, Disasi in first 11 who is nothing more than backup and again, 1B spent and we dont have a single player that can score we aint winning shit. 

Biggest issue is that we are replacing everything at once and have no patience and no board that can handle that kind of transition. 

I remember pool was bad when Klopp came and took awhile, BUT they didnt spend billion on shit players and they played nice attacking football.

I thought it was because of our midfield situation, but now that we have played two games in a row with 3 at the back against relatively easy opponents at home with both Enzo and Caicedo starting, I don't know... If it is about Nkunku, then scrapping your system and going full defensive just because one of your attackers is out is pretty retarded imo. My final hope is that we will revert to 4 atb once Lavia is fit...

The last time we played good solid footie with 3 atb was when Rüdiger was still here. He acted as an extra midfielder to devastating effect, none of our current CBs are capable of running the show in that system like he did.

I really did have genuine belief that we would bounce straight back up to at least competing for 4th this season. But it looks like another season of pain is on the way and it’ll be another season out of Europe next time around. This rebuild is going to take a while.

What’s most gutting is that several of our rivals have or are currently going through their own rebuilds but have hit the ground running instantly. United finished in the wilderness 2 years ago and bounced straight back up to finish 3rd. Newcastle turned into a genuine top 4 threat virtually overnight. And now even fucking Spuds have completely changed their team and look transformed.

Then there’s us. On paper we are PACKED with talent none of those clubs I named have at their disposal. But none of that quality is concentrated in the most important area: a fucking goal scorer.

We might sadly have an Arteta like rebuild where it takes a couple of years of pain and mediocre finishes with flashes of promise before eventually exploding in year 3. But there’s no way we’d have the patience for that considering the money we’ve spent. And tbf, it shouldn’t take that long with these players.

The 3 atb formation is also to accommodate Silva IMO.

Bit of a dilemma here, he's our most experienced player and best defender. But his slowing reactions and loss of physicality is  being exposed these days

Think Poch has to look at dropping him and trusting our younger CBs.

They might concede more, but at least we might look a better team moving forward

Wow. state of delusion already. Don’t think any manager ever managed to turn everything into shit this quickly. Even Potter and Lamps at least had a decent first few weeks.  Seriously, coming to think of it, Lampard Mk1 would actually be a decent coach for this team with that naive gung ho approach and lots of goals on both ends.

What you need is some idea what to do with the ball in the box and nobody has the faintest.
