According to @DiMarzio, Monday is the deadline for Sarri to Chelsea. If no agreement had been reached until Monday, then Conte will continue. No agreement has been reached for now. ADL is playing hardball

maybe we are finished..

Read this again. You wrote Monday is the "deadline" for Sarri. Else Conte will continue.

Anyway, I see no point in dragging this conversation. You're backtracking from a place you can't really backtrack.

I don't care what you believe or not, but stop posting fake quotes from DiMarzio and other reliable sources. It misleads people on here.

Thanks.

First of all, there's no way of seeing if DiMarzio really said that on Sky Sports Channel. Merely stating it doesn't make it reliable. I'm not believing this until there's actual Video Footage of him saying that, like there were actual footage of Zola talking about Sarri and Conte.

Secondly, even if this is true, that link doesn't say anywhere that Monday is the "DEADLINE" for Sarri to Chelsea, which you claim from your post.

He must be wondering what kind of club is this.. We won the FA Cup in May and things looked likely to change soon after.. Now its July and nothing has. Just speculation and random Monday rumours.

Daft so daft! Going to be a long season.. Maybe it'll be turned around but the club can't blame Conte for their failings. Someone must have had a feeling it wouldnt be simple or he would've have been sacked soon before.

I think Sarri is off now. Preseason start in 2 days and i cant see us change manager after preseason started since we already pushed it back one week.

Im looking forward to suffer without the ball for one more season!

At this point, I don't even know what to believe anymore. It's beyond frustrating. But if the Sarri deal really is off, then I would think there would be some sort of news about it but nothing so far.

And I believe pre-season was meant to start this weekend/next week as opposed to the club having to pushed it back one week.

You might be right. I read somewhere that we pushed it back one week but it can be wrong. I was looking forward to a manager that could revolutionize our identity and on field philosophy and bring us pacy highpressing attacking football. Dont know how to abide with ”suffer without the ball” philosophy one more season. Though, if i know our board we will probably extend Contes contract again if he gets us on a 3+ winning streak

Just apoint Zola.

I dont think Conte should stay, but It doesn't make sense to replace Conte with another outdated italian coach. This whole Sarri saga is just ridiculous.

Abramovic should buy the so called "sarri targets" Rugani, Higuain, Zielinsky, Golovin

and then let conte work as he want

I understand that the club has (and rightly) learnt its lesson from a number of previous mistakes, especially with regards to paying huge compensation packages for new managers and sacked managers alike.

But the risks we could be taking here deciding to keep on Conte would be huge. Another season outside the top 4 will affect revenue streams significantly, as well as sponsorship deals, ability to attract top players, etc. This will have far more damning and long term consequences than paying £15-20m to get Sarri and sack Conte and his staff. I would happily forego one of our transfer targets in order to get this done as for me this is first priority.

I was really disappointed with the petulance and sulking that Conte showed this season and there is no doubt it had a huge negative affect on the players. I can't see how that will suddenly change and if anything, if he doesn't want to be there either, he will be incredibly unmotivated and simply go through the motions.

This is a huge worry if we don't make the changes we need to make.

The players are back in today. Fabregas' instagram shows him in Cobham getting a massage.

I would assume this was always the plan to get them in over the weekend for tests, etc before it starts properly on Monday.

Still wondering who will be taking training on Monday mind!
