So we got rid of Conte to get Blanc (arguably, not as good as Conte) because Conte isn't a 'yes man'

Is Blanc a 'yes man', who can work wonders with the Drinkwaters and Barkleys of this World?

Please, somebody fill me with confidence! I beg of you.

We can always hope for a super successful honeymoon period...

If it's truly Blanc then this would be the perfect lesson to all Chelsea fans who quickly turned on Conte just because they expected Daddy Roman would buy them a new babysitter.

No sane Chelsea fan turn on him... He singlehandedly turn himself over....just don't lemme go right there cos the thread is not for  conte discussion...

Lauren Blanc has only lost 51 games from 349 in his managerial career.

That is pretty decent to be fair.

Most them losts must have came from managing Bordeaux

Basically the press haven't got a fucking clue what is going on then. I think patience is required because next to nothing has happened so far with other clubs yet either, let alone us. The world cup years always come with non-stop rumours with very little substance or legitimacy. Next week it is obvious we will hear more.

He lost 32 from 150 games. 60% win rate with Bordeaux is a pretty impressive win rate. Topped the CL group stages in a group that consisted of Byern Munich and Juventus. They went onto the quater finals of the CL, losing to Lyon.

At this point i am really on board with anyone that is not Conte, and will play proactive football. Prefer Sarri by a great distance, but in the end i think Blanc is a much better coach than being credited for.

Still believe Sarri will be Chelsea next coach.

His Bordeaux team played well but Juventus finished 7th Serie that year and Ligue 1 was won by Rudi Garcia (Lille), Rene Girrard (Montpellier) in the following years. Yes he beat Van Gaal's Bayern at that time but I am not sure what he would with this Chelsea squad against Guardiola, Klopp, Mourinho and Poch.

I do think Blanc ticks a lot of boxes. I'm not sure why there is an impression given off of him being boring. He was a very good player, very good technically (he actually played as an attacking midfielder in his early years averaging a goal every 3 games for Montpellier. It was only later into his career he became a centre back). He prefers 4-3-3 and sets his teams up to play football and backs them to play to their own strengths rather than worrying about the opposition. He has a track record of giving young players a chance and has won a lot of trophies.

The biggest question mark over him is he has only managed in France but Conte and Sarri have both only managed in Italy and have been/would be just as risky appointments.

I can't understand people would rather we stick with Conte. That would be a recipe for disaster. The club needs change, the players need someone to come in and implement a different style to freshen things up.

People are banging the club for wanting a 'yes' man. I don't think they want a 'yes' man but they do want somebody who is going to get on with the job at hand, be professional and not lose focus. Conte simply hasn't done that this season and it's cost us.
