The Next Manager?

Not going to bother with reasons why i have consistently backed a Jose return - done that and bored of repeating myself and defending him. However Roman's options are being culled each month we get towards the summer and will he swallow some pride and admit he got it absolutely and categorically wrong by going after and reappointing Jose? Well i think we might get a clue if Lamps now gets offered a new contract.......

As for Pep, are we really surprised he has gone to Bayern instead of coming here? Think Romans trigger happy finger has nailed his own coffin and really has come back to haunt him. imho i think Pep doesn't want the stress of dealing with Jose again and that was on the cards. Good luck to the guy anyway.

Jose - everything is ready for you to come home, can't wait for the swap.....see ya Rafa!

Lampard is heading out ...cant see Jose coming back at the same time.

apparently heard on ESPN a couple of weeks back that Rafa had a clause in his contract, that he would be given the permanent position if Chelsea failed to land Guardiola.

really hoping i was hearing shit.

so then dont make him the reason we are winning. what sense does this make? if we lose its because the players screwed up but if we win then it was because of rafa's mind-blowing and out of the world tactics.

Do you realize Rafa is the coach ?

He orders the tactics = players score goals, very simple.

Just look at the line up for tonight. An excellent one, in my view. Rafa is the second best coach Chelsea had after Jose in years.

Jose tends to say A LOT of stuff. Besides, the Lampard contract is probably the board's decision.

But in a way should be down to the Manager or partly.Their his players and team etc..know doesnt often work like that but still....

Even if Rafa stays no doubt come this time next year we'll be having this discussion again

German football expert Raphael Honigstein talking about Pep Guardiola's impending move to Bayern Munich: "There was an element of opportunism in the deal as Guardiola made up his mind that he wanted to make a decision at Christmas. He didn't want to talk to clubs with incumbent managers, and that ruled out Manchester City.

"Chelsea and Bayern were the only firm offers and in the end it came down to non-financial details.

"It is a huge coup for Bayern and German football. Even Bayern's enemies within the German game will admit as much.

"The Bayern move should not be seen as Guardiola shutting the door on a move to England as if he had gone now it would have burned many bridges to other clubs."

Also read on the BBC thing that some Chels fan had Peps face tattoed onto them..ermmm woops!

We have a worse record under Rafa than under RDM facing much worse competition. We've had a very easy schedule under Rafa and still have been poor. Yes, we racked up some goals a few times, but that doesn't come close to making up for some truly dreadful losses. You really think this team that couldn't beat QPR or Swansea at home, would have beaten Juventus in Turin? Come on!

Football doesn't work like that, that is like saying we had no chance against Barca because we get stuffed by Newcastle at home.

I agree. But our owner doesn't.

some1 who has this opinion is not worth arguing and wasting my time with.

as fas as today is concerned what did u expect after what has happened in the last 2 home games. do u think he would have taken a chance of starting with torres and hearing 42,000 people boo him and his blonde whore when we would have been losing... plus i dont know why we are praising rafa for today's match selection. he has put a strong team with the intention of winning, and that is the job of a manager (the primary one). any1 with an ounce of brain and footballing knowledge could have put this team on the pitch, or are we just going to write his name in golden letters every time he does the right thing by dropping a useless and past his prime player (torres) for one who can help us win a match(BA)?

Since you do not want to waste your time here, be it. The feeling is mutual.

No, it doesn't work when you do it over one game, but it works overall. We have been worse under Rafa than under RDM and with a far easier schedule. Our best wins of the season (away at Arsenal and Spurs) came under RDM and our worst loss (home to QPR) came under Rafa. We've had some lopsided wins under Benitez, but overall, we have been poor.
