The Next Manager?

Potter had some excuses before January.
There were the injuries, the new players not arrived yet.
I was not impressed because it's more about the team's style of play than the individuals.
But what's his excuse now ?
Every time the same pathetic stuff.
Guus 2016 was miles better.

In recent games there had at least been a couple of promising signs in areas. We started looking a lot more solid defensively and keeping clean sheets, but the last 3 games we've conceded extremely sloppy goals again.

The West Ham and Dortmund games showed some moments of encouragement in our attacking play, albeit not consistent enough to sustain for lengthy periods of the game.

But the Southampton game was such a monumental backward step. He's clearly not got much support amongst the fans as it is and it did feel the weekend was a result which even people willing and prepared to give him some time and patience, me included, started to just get completely fed up with the situation. Rotating a few players in at home to Southampton shouldn't cause such a limp and pitiful performance.

Ironically for Potter, he couldn't ask for a better game for Chelsea to play to be honest right now than Spurs. There's more than enough players at the club fully aware of what this game means to the fans, and getting a win against that rabble might be the catalyst he needs if he's to have any hope of still doing something here.

There have been numerous reports that he was open to the job so I'd be sceptical we approached him.

I would tend to agree, but there are quite a few rumours doing the rounds that Spurs aren't renewing Conte's contract this summer and have already contacted and laid the groundwork for Poch to return. With this in mind, it's very possible he already has something lined up.

The other possibility is he's been approached but in more of an interim capacity, i.e. until end of the season and take things from there which is something he's not attracted to.

In conclusion, I don't want him here anyway.

Let Mou come back for the 3rd time.

Our game plan can be sit in front of Kepa and request Enzo to find Mudryk with his passes.

With only that gameplan im assure will have more wins than with this fraud

Oh please stop it. Have we learned nothing from not only his last time here but United and Spurs?

I can already picture him fighting with Enzo and Mudryk, selling Colwill, overplaying an ageing Kante and an already knackered Mount while shoehorning Gallagher into the lineup as his token "look I play youth" card (like he did with McTominay and Tanganga).

I highly doubt Poch would say no to Chelsea. It’s BY FAR the biggest and best job he could walk into anytime soon. Unless he thinks he’s the prime candidate to succeed Carlo if he retires at Real Madrid this summer.

I think Mourjnho would whip this bunch into shape and turn them into league winners. He is doing an amazing job, top 4 and europa league finals with roma barebones squad. Imagine what he could do with this squad

I think you have been smoking too much of your username

I'll accept I'm not the oracle and I get as much wrong as I do right but I find it genuinely staggering that grown adults think this is a good idea.

To bring back mourinho? I'll accept its not ideal but in the short term at least we won't be in free fall like we are under Potter. I obviously would rather we had pep or carlo but since neither are availible, I would prefer our manager rather than poch or Enrique.

I would rather even take a risk on a lower league manager than bring back Mourinho. He had a chance to prove he can build something sustainable last time and he done the total opposite (and since further proved at United and Spurs he can't do it). And this time he almost certainly won't even get us a short term title to somewhat make up for it.

Thanks for the three titles but bringing him back now will absolutely ruin us.

I guarantee he would at least get us competing for the league. I don't need to talk about his first stint because his stats and results say enough. His second stint was overshadowed by him verbally abusing Eva Carneiro, and causing a shitshow with the club. With a clean start, he would've learned not to make problems and would make the best of what he's got like he's done at Roma.

Then why couldn't he do it with United or get Spurs atleast in top four? (which has been done by them in every season bar the one's he's been there since 2016).

His first stint was absolutely incredible but totally irrelevant in this context, the guy back then may aswell be a different person to the one to we see today.

Roma he (looking at results) seems to be doing okay but still 18 points off the top and there's a reason he's back at "middling" jobs.

I don't really care how he did at ManUre because they are not well run, and spuds because they are stingy. Roma fans are saying getting top 4, with players like Cristante and solbakken, is his greatest achievement. And he won UCL with Inter. It just proves that Mourinho can do a better job at a 'middling' club as well as a big club than Potter.
