Henrique 9,133
I'm glad its not Allegri. His tactics today were too Mourinhoesque for my taste. Replacing two men who were responsible for that legendary second goal in a silly atempt to secure the result was a terrible decision. xPetrCechx and iseah100

They make everything WAY too fucking complicated. Few years ago that would have been a way out there suggestion -but it aint so uncommon round the Bridge these days. Surrounded by non-football 'yes' people -its no wonder its a shambles. The inconsistency is staggering. it seemed like for a brief period Roman was happy for Jose to have the say on incomings and outgoings which then got taken out of his hands yet again and it seems like it all depends which way the wind's blowing and who Roman decides to listen to on any given day. If you have one philosophy and you stick to it, at least you can know whether it's working or not. But when one day you ask agents to deal with things, the next day ask Marina, the next ask Emenalo, the next ask the manager etc. . then it's a recipe for disaster. You'll never get any sort of consistency & standard to go by, and you'll never be able to really nail the responsibility onto any one person (which is why simply sacking the manager only is papering over the cracks and ignoring the crux of the problem). All I can see is rinse and repeat with Conte. Muzchap, Essien19, ChelseaFSee and 1 other

His tactics took a team, whom you claimed in this very thread are not even on the same level as current Chelsea, literally two minutes from knocking out Bayern Munich, which you've also said was absolutely impossible to happen. Either Juve is average and Allegri's tactics were genius to almost get them to knock out the second best team in the world right now, or Juve are one of the best sides in Europe and Allegri's tactics are to blame for them failing to knock Bayern out. Which is it? Make up your mind... Supermonkey92, Muzchap and Adnane

In a sense he was the most influential man out there, too bad he let himself down in the second half.

I think he made two mistakes in the tie, the first was the lineup at Turin and the second was the tactics and subs in the second half yesterday. But at the same time, if it weren't for his subs and change of tactics in the second half at Turin and the absolutely genius tactics and starting XI in Munich the tie would have been a walk in the park for Bayern. Also, let's not forget that Juve were missing 3-4 crucial players yesterday. Blue_Fox_

Or maybe they stand up to the challenge? Its easy to forget that these very player's worked hard to bring the league title home last season and you could argue for some (Hazard and Matic especially) the extra miles put in to doing that is the reason they were so exhausted coming into this season and therefore a shadow of themselves, I've been mentally exhausted and its so much worse than physical exhaustion, in fact it's dangerous as far as mental health goes, I had to relax and do literally nothing for two weeks before I felt anyway close to normal again. That's why I feel uneasy when I hear Drogba, Lamps, Ash would never let this happen or play like they ain't trying, in 10/11 and 11/12 (bar the late CL and FA runs) most of our squad were playing in first gear, go on the match threads in those two seasons and you will see many comments about how our players don't give a shit and are well fed with success since the double. That was a squad with all our famed leaders in bar Ballack, a squad that went from being villified for not caring to immortal (after Munich) in two months. I don't actually think Drogba, Lamps,Ash, Essien and Malouda etc didn't care, of course I don't but that's my point, there were times in those two seasons every player just mentioned was accused of downing tools, just like our current bunch now (like I alluded to, if you don't believe me, check out match threads on them two years), what I'm saying is the average Chelsea fan had to eat some humble pie with some players in that squad (especially Lamps) and same could happen here, the players showed last season they can knuckledown and bring home the bacon, and I can see Antonio getting good out of them.
