That mentality is basically why we've regressed so much. Persisting with players who aren't up to scratch. Oscar has played under how many managers now and still hasn't really progressed? 

Of course we don't need a huge overhaul of 7-8 first XI players, but we certainly need 3-4. If Conte is told he must start next season with the same midfield and same defense as this season then he's doomed from the beggining. Same thing that happened to José. "These players won the league last season so we don't need any big signings." Let the manager decide whether the players are good enough, don't tell him.

Eh, I'm sure Conte will come here and bring the players he wants as well. Conte won't take no nonsense from our board, it's one of the main reasons that he resigned himself from Juve. (The Juve board failed to give Conte the money that are required for the players of his likings)

You are probably right. if things never collapsed, we would have just continued along the track of "just good enough", getting top 4 most seasons and a trophy every other 2 - 3 years.

Rebuilding like this is the only of having a shot at being top. Only City really have a plan in England now, we can easily overtake the other teams (Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Tottenham) if things go well this summer.

And Ambramovich need to trust and give a chance to the next manager like he did with Mourinho not the ones before him.

I don't think we'll be again a point above relegation anytime soon but it should really be the worst scenario when a manager needs to be sacked.

Just let the manager work in piece and don't expect miracles in the first six months/a year.

Really hope they learned from this season.

Conte or anybody....the ugly culprit is the board...sign few quality/class players in the summer transfer and back the manager with all the resources he needs...we gonna be rocking back at he top....
