Conte it is then? Quite a lot of noise about him now. Don't really know what to think, time to do some research.

All I've got so far is: He looks like a dodgy character.

He lost every European match that counted, apart from that 3-0 win over Chelsea :( but on the other Allegri went almost all the way with the same team and made a big fight against Barcelona in final. Not a fan of Italian coaches at all, too defensive and too tactical :)

That's what the game is about for us :D

Though i'd like to say, with a note of pride, we've produced some of the best managers in the world of football. Arrigo Sacchi tops them all for me.

Hmm you're Italian so honestly, is he that defensive as some make him out to be ?

He went one full season unbeaten and the other season took the league with 102 points. That's what matters I think. But you would like to have it all.

Unlike Chelsea at Juventus managers are surrounded by qualified, well respected football people right? I would like to see another Italian manager at Chelsea but Juventus performance of any manager can misguide I believe. If Allegri or Conte comes, I hope Marotta and his scouts come with him.

No, he's not that defensive, i believe he can do both attack and defence very well, and his attacking patterns are quite nice too, just look at one of the last Italy matches, the one against Belgium, for the first 15-20 minutes it was an attack slaugther of the Belgian team, although we've a far inferior team, and we had no Verratti and others, for a moment there i almost thought we could win it, defensive wise it wasn't the best performance at all though, individual mistakes were atrocious. As i've said, coming to the pl will be a major test for him, he went unbeaten in the league, but with a lot of draws and with the far superior team, so that needs to be put in perspective.

No chance of that i'm afraid.

Just look at the game where they spanked us 3 to 0. If we are able to produce some sort of Fútbol like that then we should be good.

Not to mention that juventus was gone from the map and he helped bring them back into relevance. It is what we need at this moment.

@Blue_Fox ... who do you rate higher - Allegri or Conte? I would have to say Allegri ;)

I would say Conte, put into perspective the job Conte has done is far more impressive.
It's a far reaching example, but we were challenging for the quadruple under Avram Graant and we reached the CL final as well, obviously Allegri is better than Graant, but for me it's a similar situation.

And we won the CL with rdm.

So just like you just because allegri made it to the CL final shouldn't mean everything. You need to take into account context.

Conte by far did the better job of bringing juventus from the drum drolls into world relevance.

Simeone represents everything this club should stand for.

Precisely.

However we won't come cheap and the club won't give him full backing in the transfer business as that'll put Emenalo out of a job, wouldn't it? So that looks unlikely.

So, to me, with Pep gone, the best candidate is Guus Hiddink.
