The Next Manager?

Might not mean much, but the Atletico transfer ban could mean that their squad stays the same over the next year and a half.

Simeone already stated he was really happy in Atletico and now with the ban, I don't see the Colchoneros giving him green lights as an eventual manager would surely require even the slightest change of personnel.

Doesn't change a whole lot in the matter, but just makes me believe more and more that this one might be out of reach this season.

Maybe go for Benitez, I mean looks like we maybe close to signing Pato, we already have Papi and Falcao looks like he's staying.

Good times.

Bring back Kalou for the experience, sell overrated players like Hazard, Matic, give Fabregas the armband and buy a bunch of Barcelona rejects, Bojan, Affelay, Munir...

We might have a go at CL then.

Pellegrini's an asshole but he's not as terrible of a manager as you're all making him out to be. I would be interested seeing what he could do here.

Ya so long as he comes with Navas I'm all for it....:drunk:

True, because...?

Why?

Cos his job at bayern is one of the easiest. everyone can win the league with them.

The same with barcelona.Average manager like Enrique won 5 cups. They have the best players. He was just lucky to get them at their top form.

Look what pep does with bayern in europe... Ridicules.

And city? The easiest one in england.

He's a Barcelona man, managed Barca B before being promoted, so that doesn't count. Even then he took them to another level. Bayern is the only real example and it is not enough to make some kind of final judgement on his preferences. In fact he has only managed two clubs in his life, whatever way you look at it it is too small sample size to form any substantial conclusions. The fact he chose Bayern over us makes it sound like sour grapes more than anything.

If anyone thinks any manager could have trumped Real Madrid and Mourinho the way Pep Guardiola did, they are delusional. Guardiola took what Johan Cruyff implemented at Barcelona in the 80s and 90s and brought it to the next level in the modern game. He reaped that amazing youth system like no other manager before him, and cemented the ethos and philosophy Cruyff planted all those years ago. Only another person with the understanding of the club and it's philosophy could have done what he did.

And destroyed all what Heynckes did. embarrassed himself 2 years in a row in europe. really next level.

Simeone took over Atletico Madrid in a bad spell and delieverd the title in two as half years on a remote budget, the 2014 winning team cost just over 30 million, for perspective that's not even half the price of Bale.

If we are going to be a bit stingy in the market and United, City spend like there no tommorow, then Diego is the man.
