“Performances haven’t been as bad as results” speechless

Also Luis Enrique - no thanks.

Piss piss poor transfer record at both Roma and Barca as well as mediocre career outside of 2 years at Barca with a frontline that spanked about 350 goals between 3 players. Spain one of the most boring international sides in recent times in both spells with him.

Thomas Frank is interesting but I feel he’s just too much like Potter in terms of his experience. Maybe another who would be out of his depth but has shown great variety in terms of how Brentford play.

Ruben Amorim - promising career at Sporting but is it too soon? Should he not make another step before going for an elite club? In terms of maybe go to a Sevilla, a Dortmund, a Leipzig, a Villarreal or somebody and continue building his reputation. He gives me Villas-Boas vibes a bit. Plus I am sure he has a €20m release clause so would be another expensive one if it were to go wrong but has a track record with young players at Sporting.

Tired with the managerial gambles. Ruben Amorim looks interesting, but Thomas Frank?

Managers with next to no reputation find it easier in clubs where the players have little achievements to their name. Our players are not like Terry or Drogba, but at least have a CL under and CWC under their belt.

If we do get another unproven manager, we should bring in someone like JT in as assistant. Just to lay down the law.

In fact, am surprised Potter never looked at bringing JT into his fold. Might have helped him a long way.

only mourinho was acceptable because he won a ucl. its different

we are suppose to chase world class managers and not this type of "tier"

Why are they tired of Amorin??? He has a pretty decent win percentage there..... could you elaborate a little please?

Potter just strikes me as the type of manager who wants to play it safe.  He never looked like the type who would confront his players or even bring in an assistant who was a bit crazy or vocal just to shake things up in training or in the dressing room.

Even AvB had Di Matteo as an assistant.

Imagine if Conte, Mourinho, Tuchel had this run of results after spending that much in the transfer window, they would have let the players know the pathetic level of performance but with Potter all I hear is: "the players are trying, we're close, we feel it..." as if being mid table is acceptable.

I can guarantee there has ben talks with at least two candidates in the last week, you don't get to the horrific position we are in without doing groundworks.

Boehly's position on Potter means nothing, at some point the people around TB will be adding pressure and he will cave.

Today could be the day.

I hope that we are in conversations and the decision is already made that he's gone irrelevant of the result of the game vs Leeds. Hopefully just a matter of picking and negotiating with the right person. I can't believe that Todd and co genuinely still think he's the right guy for the job.

Every time I see the "data" bs I hope someone smacks them in the face. Maybe they are looking at the minesweeper instead of actual data they are supposed to look at or forgot to hire someone who actually knows how to read it.

I'd much more prefer someone performance orientated, not "data oriented" as maybe they don't realize there are no awards for xG (that often only shows how hopeless the team is).

My biggest concern is that there may not be anyone available to come in straight away.  Flick, Enrique would be obvious candidates considering their profiles and then there is Pochettino (however I'm not sure that would go down well with the fans...might be a Benitez 2.0 moment).

Whether any of them are actually keen on the challenge remains to be seen.

Benitez was good , got us 3rd and won europa whilst playing some decent stuff. The way the Stamford bridge crowd treated him was embarrassing

Yeah that was odd...think some was down to stuff he said before or something? Something daft when he was managing a rival club so things like that are said..unless wrong and more to it but either way he did us well!

He said some stuff before in response to Jose trash talking him and Liverpool. It was always Jose starting shit with Rafa and Wenger etc
