Once I typed in "Nick Pope 2020" I found some. He looks pretty damned impressive I must say. Makes a lot of saves with his legs like DDG which is pretty unusual.

Looks more impressive than Mendy for me but I wonder what kind of price Burnley would ask. If he's even possible.

I think if we made a move, what would go for us is I would expect him to be desperate to make the move and might even try to force Burnley's hand.

He has a real huge chance of being England number one in time for the Euros given how bad Pickford has been for the last couple of years and Henderson will likely at least start the season second fiddle to De Gea.

For all his faults at club level he does tend to actually play quite well for England.

Nick pope would be a great keeper to get. But he's gonna be mega expensive.

Yeah everyone knows he's by far the 3rd best option of the 3... Apart from Southgate it seems. 

Pope or Henderson are easily the best 2 and there's a big gap to Pickford.

 

If pope played for us he'd be England no. 1 as he's better than Pickford and henderson is gonna be stuck behind de gea for a season. So he may want to come but Burnley have no reason to sell him.

IIRC, Southgate talked about picking players on merit early in his reign but has become just like any other manager in picking his favorites regardless of form etc.

According to Simon Johnson on the latest Chelsea podcast on The Athletic, the club still plan to buy 2 more players - a new keeper and new defensive midfielder. 

The club also want to offload the deadwoods from the rather large squad.
