Take this as you see fit but apparently Winstanley spoke with WHU yesterday and has told them to slow things down with Spurs as we are ready to give them the amount they want for Kudus and to rebuf any more bids from Spurs. The club are trying to get the maximum for Noni without putting Arsenal off as talks have sped up hugely since yesterday and all parties are sure a deal will be done.

If Winstanley proposed  this you just know it will go to shit. Couldn’t run a piss ip in a brewery.

Kudus makes sense because he’s highly experienced and ready to step right in in a number of areas.

As big of a talent as Nwaneri may be is he really the profile of player an already super young team needs? Keeping in mind that we ALSO have Quenda coming in as a winger next summer!

Chelsea are always interested in the best, young talents. Nwaneri interest doesn’t surprise me. We also hold interest in Mikey Moore but very unlikely dealing with Spurs.

🔵 Aston Villa have made an inquiry for Nico Jackson. Unai Emery has liked him since his time at Villarreal and Jackson also likes Emery. Villa director Monchi also admired Jackson when he was director at Sevilla.

Chelsea are open to a sale.

What sort of position does Nwaneri play predominantly? Not sure why we’d be interested if he’s a RW when we’ll have Neto and Estevão there. And centrally we have Palmer and now João Pedro.

He plays predominantly on the RW, but can play the AM role too. But because of his good dribbling and crossing , Arteta likes him on the right. Long term wise, if he stays, you would imagine he will take the AM role as Saka's spot is not being shifted. I am not sure what position Nwaneri prefers though and this may be a big part of his decision to sign a contract or not.

but months ago like 5-6 months ago it was said to me that something like this could easily happen and it’s not *necessarily* just Ethan’s camp using us for a new contract

a tad similar to Omari Hutchinson's move.

yh I don’t think he does, and as much as I don’t think he’d get any good gametime here, players definitely trust us over Arsenal to setup a good loan and then get an opportunity in the game somewhere.

Similarly to Lewis-Skelly, I can't help but think Nwaneri's agent is trying to muster the best possible deal by dragging other clubs into it, to get a better deal, even though I think it is more likely that Nwaneri would consider leaving than MLS.

However, Nwaneri swapping Arsenal to Chelsea would make no sense. He has been part of Arsenal's squad when he was 17 and started a number of games when Saka was out and was very impressive. Since Saka returned his minutes has been reduced, which has annoyed Arsenal fans, but again he was just 17 at the time, so Arteta probably was biding his time with him. Either way, if Nwaneri joins us, he will not be joining to be loaned out. If he moves from Arsenal, he will be moving to play, not be loaned out. If he wanted the best opportunity, he is best of moving abroad. But I think he will stay once he is given assurances.

Hutchinson was not part of Arsenal's first team squad. Nwaneri was and has played several times for them this season. Reminds me of Foden, when he was coming up at City and was slightly older than Nwaneri is now and people were bemused that Pep never gave him chances, then when David Silva left, he got his chance and he kicked on. But he had to wait patiently for his chance. I would take him here of course because I think Nwaneri is a top talent, but being honest, him moving here would make no sense to me and I don't buy it at all.
